Lights, camera, Eurovision! Ahead of Semi-Final 1, Semi-Final 2 and the grand final, Eurovision 2016 host broadcaster SVT will air “Studio Eurovision” — a one-hour long pre-show. Host Gina Dirawi will interview Eurovision 2016 acts and Swedish superstars from ESC and Melodifestivalen, and guest performers will drop their biggest hits. So you can imagine how excited the team from wiwibloggs was when our William and Deban were invited to serve as guest commentators during each show!

Studio Eurovision kicks off at 20:00 CET on SVT and you can watch it on SVT Play. We’re actually in the studio right now, but we’ve uploaded some Instagram pics below!

Here we are looking like McDonald’s employees during the run-through…

And here we are backstage rehearsing. Love these cue cards!

The delegation bubble, where competing artists hang out, is directly behind the studio, which is located inside Globen Arena.

It’s massive in here — and there is TONS of security — but here is our golf card ride when moving from one point to another.

Honestly, who doesn’t benefit from a little make-up?

Not Wiktoria. She is FLAWLESS. We can’t wait to hear her perform on tonight’s show.

Ooo, the show has ended and it’s several hours later, and we have some new pics for you.

We bumped into Amir while waiting for our spot to start.

And then Sergey!

And then Mr Melodifestivalen Christer Björkman.

Forty minutes into the show it was our turn to dish on the first semi-final…

Gina Dirawi is SO nice and supportive. LOVE her.

Loved seeing you guys in the taxi skit during the show! I’ll have to catch this too on Thursday! It’s so awesome to see the Wiwi team so ingrained as part of Eurovision culture.

With all due respect, I prefer your YouTube interviews than what just happened alongside Gina in the SVT studios … Just didn’t sound natural and not matching at all with what was going on. It’s like 3 watching 3 people giving commentary on the show but then 2 over the top giggling gays showcasing all the wrong gay clichés at the same time … just not a very good and appetizing sandwich. There are certain things that should be done within their most natural context … Wiwibloggs works better online than on TV … but that’s me. But hey, if… Read more »

The Austrian preshow is so much fun. Best moments of last year. The executive producer Edgar Böhm said, that Australia’s participaton was all their idea. EBU was like “noooo” and ORF was like “it’s our party, we can do what we want”….. *lol*

EBU also was not happy with the parade of contestants through the audience when this idea first came up.
