Two weeks ago, we launched a poll asking you to cast your vote for the best music video released by the 2016 Eurovision contestants. Over 12,300 votes have been cast and the results are in: with more than 12% of the ballot, Iveta Mukuchyan’s video for “LoveWave” takes the crown.
Armenia’s strong entry made waves ever since it was released together with the video, a co-production between national broadcaster AMPTV and Germany’s BLACKSHEEP communications. In it, a sensual Iveta Mukuchyan, also a worthy contender for the crown of Eurovision Next Top Model, works her best physical assets — besides her voice — to wow and seduce. The object of her affection is Swedish model Ben Dahlhaus, who has been dubbed “Sweden’s Brad Pitt.” Micro shots that almost look scientific and medical are, in the words of Iveta’s team, used to picture the chemistry behind feelings of love and lust that spread through the whole body.
The “LoveWave” video was also a preview of Iveta Mukuchyan’s show-stopping performance on the Eurovision stage. The Armenian team incorporated the same sort of cutting shots and imagery in the singer’s visually arresting presentation.

“LOVEWAVE”: OUR FIRST REACTION
In second and third place in our poll — with a difference of just four votes! — we find Barei’s “Say Yay” video, shot on the streets of Stockholm, and Sergey Lazarev’s visual extravaganza that is “You Are The Only One”.

What do you think about the results? Do you agree that Iveta Mukuchyan had the best video this year?
@Helmar,
Really? There are only 10.5 million Armenians in the whole world and that’s including the diaspora. Almost all of the European nations have bigger populations than Armenia. How could Armenia being a tiny nation win all the votes? If this was the case, then Azerbaijan would win all the votes because they have larger population and are more obsessed with ESC. Why aren’t other countries voting for their own contestant in that case?
@ We love stars, flowers, pyros, copied visuals, air fans and blue and red leds
What exactly do you mean? Flag? Really?
I voted for Spain and Armenia, both are great video clips!
Every year same story: Armenia wins all the polls. Those armenians needs to hear a “STOP!!” already.. It’s getting boring really, not fair. :s
This armenian song is so cold, sexually themed and self-centered. How is this supposed to be a winner, the kind of anthem for european people? C’mon…
Just because it has a great camera play, it suddenly has become a favorite for some fangirls. They didn’t even care about this overstressed drama before the rehearsals.
She wins in everything,
but the first place in the competition it will not give.We all know that it is the policy.
as is known^
She’s simply the best and haters as knopen, gonna hate anyways.
Go Queen. Slaaay it tonight.
Who cares about iTunes? Pff idiots.
@Laura, a queen must be humble. Unfortunately she isn’t.
I missed the poll. I would have voted for the fighter.
So sick of armenian fans seriously, they do just promote each poll at facebook, twitter and all of the armenians vote for their country. It’s obvious that Spain had the best videoclip. I really hope that Iveta is going to flop tonight, so armenians can chill already. e.e
It’s indeed a beautiful video
Between Iveta’s account got hacked by azeris, they never play fair.
First corruption now hacking people’s account , it’s ridiculous..Shame…
This will be a big flop tonight.
It will only get point from neighbors and annoying diaspora.
Good performance can’t save a bad song.
Almost everybody is doing better on itunes than her
She practically win every single poll here. It will be unfair if she does not win the whole thing then. If she does not win, then probably it’s all about politics. Wish her all good luck.
Queen slays again ! Only one trophy left!)))
