The ever-amazing Eye Cue have delivered their first live performance of Twitterverse favourite “Lost And Found”…and we are FAR from disappointed!
As expected, Marija’s vocals were clear, strong and note-perfect, filling the fanbase they have amassed with confidence that they could very well make it out of the bloodbath that Semi Final 1 has turned out to be.
Due to their surroundings, they kept the staging simple with just the two members of the band on stage without their drummer. But maybe simplicity is key, as this could be brought to the stage in the Altice Arena.
Listen, for the very first time, "Lost And Found" LIVE at the "Story" Party! Amazing! @EyeCueOfficial ??#Eurovision #Macedonia ?? pic.twitter.com/WduznV4KVX
— Macedonia at Eurovision ?? (@esc_macedonia) March 22, 2018
The reggae and EDM-tinged anthem took people by surprise when it dropped nearly two weeks ago, delighting those who have been rooting for the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia for years. Last year’s amazing studio cut from Jana Burceska signalled a turn toward the modern…and this year’s entry continues the trend.
The performance took place at Story Party, hosted by Story Magazine, a publication which discusses Balkan and international celebrities, and the news surrounding them. The social and awards event is held annually, but was in Macedonia for the first time this year, at the Hotel Alexander Palace on the outskirts of Skopje. Many Balkan celebrities attended, including past Macedonian Eurovision divas Tijana (2014) and her sister Tamara Todevska (2008) who won awards on the night for ‘Artistic Transformation’ and ‘Most Charismatic Pop Singer’ respectively.
Eye Cue left the event with a thoroughly-deserved award of their own for ‘Best Group’, giving them credit for their 10 years of great work together.
The first live viewing of “Lost and Found” comes just after news of their participation in many of the Eurovision pre-parties, including those in Amsterdam, Tel Aviv and Madrid.
Do you think they will get to the final for the first time since 2012? How well do you think Macedonia will do this year? Let us know in the comments box below!

Fantastic vocalist… Superb song… the best Macedonia has ever sent… This must make it to the final, it’s quality!!!! Vote for it Europe!!!
I don’t know what is more wonderful… her voice or his bass…
I just know they are perfect together and I agree to wiwi that they will much probably make it out of the sf1 bloodbath
I’d be a bit worried for FYR Macedonia now. I actually really like the song but that wasn’t great at all
What wasn’t great about it? She is a superb singer. Listen to it with headphones her voice is very strong… the recording is poor not the performance…
She isn’t too bad, but I don’t think she sounds *amazing* or anything. Probably needs to practice her breathing techniques before, but she has a good voice at least 🙂
I love the song though, so I wish them the best of luck. ^__^
I think her singing is not very good, she’s out of breath
You need to remember that it is filmed from a mobile phone…. of course it won’t sound the best. The quality of the recording is poor…. the performance is fantastic!!!
I think this is not a qualifying, if we compare with Finland. Saara is not the best female vocalist, but she can sing better than Marija and Saara’s song is more catchy
I’m so upset that they’re in the first semi Finland will probably qualify over them 🙁 I can see this closing the semi. I hope this qualifies so bad Macedonia should be rewarded for this quality entry. If only it was in the second semi. Good luck Macedonia
I am also dreading Finland qualifying over Macedonia. It would be an outrage.
Well, Finland is better so it kinda deserves to qualify
Lol Finland is going to flop, mark my words. ;D
Deservedly so. One mishap after another.
Let me guess. If Sweden sent “Monsters”, you and everyone would be like “This is the best song ever!”. Typical Finland-haters.
Lmao, if you don’t like a song, there’ll always be a Person from that specific Country to call you a ”Country x hater”. Get over it! Sweden is not a very good song. Neither is Finland… Get over it and stop being ridiculous.
Actually no. As I have said numerous times, I love all five Nordic countries. Get over yourself.
Saara’s live on UMK was ridiculously bad. In that tough semi I think is very unlikely for her to get through. :<
Plus as you said – it's Finland, not Greece, Romania or Azerbaijan…
While I agree that she was bad during UMK, Saara has since performed “Monsters” during the Lithuanian final and she was really good there.

Her issue isn’t so much vocals, it’s trying to do too much in just three minutes. If she tones down on the act and focuses on the song, she’ll be fine 🙂
Sweden is my least favourite country in the last three edition of Eurovision.
My God, you can’t be serious. Of all the countries in the past 3 years sweden is your least favourite? Well, Sweden is sending quality songs and are at least trying compared to some other countries. Typical Sweden hater that puts them last just because it’s Sweden.
You know me so damn well! Sweden was my number 1 in 2015, but always bottom 10 ever since. It’s last only this year, tho, but the worst in avarage. And BTW all three times they could send something for my top 10 but always went with a worse choice.
She struggled with the pre-chorus and in the second verse she is almost out of breath.
I hope she sings the same as Jana Burceska
I am so relieved that she slays live! This has grown to be in my Top 3 so far! I don’t want to get my hopes up for qualifying because of the bloodbath in semi 1 and Macedonia not having a good qualifyint track. If Europe comes to its senses, they will qualify with good staging though!
There are parts of the song that I like but I’m confused by the structure. Is it me or there is no bridge in the song?
Yep. There’s two “cycles” of Reggae-Pop-EDM, neither of which has a bridge. First, there’s a “tease” of Pop, followed by a jerk to Reggae, growing back into Pop, then up into EDM. Then there’s a transition directly from the EDM back to Reggae, growing back into Pop, then up into EDM again. It’s an interesting song design, but it’s so non-traditional that it’s going to need to be staged perfectly to guide people along with it … and that kind of skilled staging has not exactly been a Macedonian strength over the years. (Frankly, outside of Crno i Belo, there… Read more »
Yes, I completely agree. I love the originality of the Pop-Reggae-EDM cuts, but it will need to be staged correctly to make it work.
It’s a very sexy, yet indecisive song. She almost has a split personality going on. She wants him to “go deeper” on the one hand, but then only take her when “no-one is around”, which is rather shallow. It will be a challenge to stage, for sure.
There isn’t one which I personally don’t mind. I like songs that try to be different without feeling awkward or clunky. This is my 3rd out of 43 in an incredibly strong year (like I wouldnt mind anyone in my top 20 winning) so Good Luck Macedonia. Please get the staging right!
Uho, I think I’ve heard some dodgy notes there, but the studio version is my absolute favourite of the year!! I’ll be happy if they qualify, and if they manage to sort out the live performance and vocals, I would love to see them better the results of my previous editions favourites, Amir in 2016 and Francesco in 2017 both came 6th… Much love from Portugal ?
It’s the Alekseev level of live singing
I have a weird relation to this one, and this live cut doesn’t allay my concerns. Much like last year, I adore the studio video … and much like last year, I have no idea how they are going to stage it effectively as a live show. For the song’s transitions into “reggae mode”, I much prefer the 2nd reggae-slip over the 1st one … it flows more naturally from the full EDM chorus, while the first transition risks abrupt jarring if it is anything less than perfectly done. Even on the studio track, I generally start from 0:52, so… Read more »
That’s my worry to Jana was in my Top 5 and imo she still should’ve qualified but I see why she didn’t. Eye Cue are my 3rd so hopefully they close the show although Latvia did come dead last last year. I wish them the best of luck!
Why all compare her to Jana, this girl can actually sing.
Jana’s singing was fine, the problem was the song producer (I guess?!) wanted it to sound more electronic and creative, but instead they destroyed it. Jana’s problem was her nervousness and lack of sassiness to deliver the choreography. It was not the best match, and yes details as such can ruin an otherwise promising song. The staging of Macedonia was always ridiculous and biggest problem.
Yesss! They deserve to qualify!! And this song is gold. Hopefully Albania, Croatia and Bulgaria will give them a push.
Maybe Greece will give them a push.. downwards :-))
