Performing at Eurovision can change your career forever and turn you into a treasured national icon, but can it find you a life companion? Yes, it can!

Georgia’s Eurovision 2017 singer Tamara Gachechiladze got the surprise of her life recently when her boyfriend — famous Bulgarian composer Borislav Milanov — asked for her hand in marriage. And our girl said yes!

Tamara announced the news by uploading a sweet picture of them locking lips on Instagram and Facebook. Standing before a beautiful fountain, the water created a visual spectacle that helped frame their undeniable love.

Congratulations have already been pouring in, with people sending their best wishes in the comments of Tamara’s Instagram post.

The pair have been dating for more than a year. Their romance started in 2017, shortly after her performance at the national final in Tbilisi and it continued to blossom in Kyiv. They’ve been romancing in France this week and the trip gave Borislav the perfect opportunity to pop the question.

Georgia ?? & Bulgaria ??

It’s only been a few days since the proposal, so no details have emerged about the wedding just yet.

Tamara performed her song “Keep the Faith” during Semi-Final 1 of Eurovision 2017 but failed to reach the final. Milanov has competed at the Eurovision Song Contest with six songs: Poli Genova’s “If Love Was a Crime”, Equinox’s “Bones”, Kristian Kostov’s “Beautiful Mess”, Tijana Bogićević’s “In Too Deep”, Jana Burčeska’s “Dance Alone” and Cezar Sampson’s “Nobody But You”. The happy couple previously collaborated with each other on the demo of “Bones”, and countless fans mistook Tamara’s mysterious vocals for those of Loreen.

Please join us in congratulating Tamara and Borislav! We’re wishing them all the happiness in the world!

What do you think about their engagement? What is your message for the happy couple? Let them know in the comments!

So pleased for them! They look so happy together. Also, does anyone know where I can hear the demo of Bones that Tamara sung on? I can’t find it anywhere

Yaya! First comment!
I am so happy for Borislav and Tamara! I think they are a cute couple and I can’t wait for Borislav to write some songs for Tamara or even make her comeback to Eurovision and maybe bring Georgia a victory!
