She may not have qualified for the grand final at Eurovision 2018, but Croatia’s representative Franka left plenty of fans going “Crazy” after her sultry performance and unbelievable stage presence.
And she was just getting started. Now Franka is finishing off her year by releasing her latest album, ‘S Tobom’.
‘S Tobom’ is named after the single of the same name. This single was released after her comeback a year ago, and came with a picturesque music video that complemented the song’s beauty while putting Franka on fine display.
Naturally the album includes her Eurovision single ‘Crazy’. But she mixes things up with a variant of the song called ‘Crazy (Midnight Session)’. It’s an acoustic version of the song which shows a beautiful and gentle approach to the song aided by stringed instruments.
Franka filmed the Midnight session video with two backing vocalists — Martina Ivankovic and Djordjia Palic — and with Branimir Mihaljevic, the song’s co-author, on bass. Branimir’s son Marko played the guitar along with Ante Gelo, who lent his basement studio to the team for the shoot. Tonka Javorovic added even more magic on her cello.
In the mood for something summery and more uplifting? Look no further than ‘Kao Ti I Ja‘.
This song will put a smile on your face and warm up even the coldest of hearts. Bonus: there’s a special bonus version of the same track! That one features Husar & Tomcic and is sung acapella.
Keeping it current, she also includes her most recent single “Ti mi noseš sreću”. Its infectious beat and the decidedly throwback twang will set feet tapping.
If range defines Franka’s repertoire, then it’s only fitting that ‘Tajno’ make her latest mix. It’s a gentle ballad but allows Franka’s vocal capabilities to flourish.
Then there’s the song ‘Vojska Nocnih Leptira’, which boasts a punchy beat and ‘Crna Duga’ with a high-impact chorus with rock undertones.
And you better believe we are feeling the dance track ‘On Fire’ featuring Eric Destler. The party just started!
