Miki Nunez Spain Eurovision 2019 2

It’s over a week since he became Spain’s choice for Tel Aviv. But Miki with “La Venda” remains your favourite Eurovision 2019 act so far.

In less than 24 hours, an impressive 4,723 votes were cast in our flash poll. Almost half of which went to the Operación Triunfo star — 49.29% to be exactThat amounts to a grand total of 2,328 votes.

Once again, Albania’s Jonida Maliqi must make do with second place. The “Ktheju Tokës” songstress picked up 1,245 votes on this occasion, or 26.36% of all votes cast.

France’s Bilal Hassani with “Roi” is hot on her heels. The Destination Eurovision champ managed to secure 1,150 votes  or 24.35% of all votes cast.

Thankfully, this isn’t a battle royale. Our trio will return to the ring once again when we relaunch the poll this evening. They’ll be joined by a new adversary in the shape of the winning act from the Czech selection.

Who do they need to show Miki’s armpit hair? Is that part of the 6 people he will put on stage? It’s not even a sexy looking armpit hair LOL. Maybe this is his tactic to distract Bilal LOL

I hav a feeling the bicep/ armpit hair combo in his photo are winning Miki a lot of votes in the polls. ???

France has a good song I just have the feeling that everyone don’t like Bilal and his song just because Seemone didn’t win. But to me Roi is a better song than Tous les deux too boring and forgettable in a Grand Final. Roi still an average song to ESC and more it could be a very good song and I really don’t think that it will finished on the right scoreboard . Just try to appreciate the song and the message and forget the annoying fanbase. Especially to the spanish fans who criticize the french televote while they always… Read more »

I just don’t like the song. There is no hate or anything like that behind it. Nothing against him or France.

Yes no problem I can understand that, but I usually find there is a general negative wave against France this year while it isn’t by far the worst song we have seen in ESC

My top 3 is Albania, Spain, France. All legit entries in their own right. I really like Albania! Spain is fun and France gets stuck in my head. Can’t wait to see what else is in store.

people hating on spain 😀 wow, so unexpected 😀
look, blaming the things on ~ spanish trolls~ could be understandable for some of the previous spanish entries, but EXACTLY THIS YEAR it isn’t 😀
Eurovision fans from all over the world love La venda, the other thing is that people don’t want to see that and just blame it on whatever comes to their minds 🙂

Don’t take too seriously these comment threads on Wiwibloggs, it’s annoying part of Eurovision fandom, full of negative people.

Spain is gonna be hated always, it’s doesn’t matter if they send a good or a bad song, a pop, rock or ballad sonf. Is like something intrinsic within eurofans. In the other hand, countries like Italy always gonna be loved and overrated.

I was just about to upvote this comment because it does feel like that with spain sometimes, and then I saw the last sentence about Italy … in my opinion, they are never overrated, if anything they are underrated by the juries ( e.g. il volo 2015 or Meta and Moro 2018)
plus their songs are usually songs that win or do well at sanremo, so you can’t deny those are quality songs

III…

Don’t worry, it’s just Wiwi poll. Blackbird and Verona, among others were also high in their polls, and you know how they ended! Right now many people are just pi**ed their favourite didn’t win.

In Blackbird and Verona’s defences, they were both within the popular votes top 10 (Verona was 6th if I re call). It was the jury that killed them and prevented them from making the final.

I did really like Verona and Blackbird was decent but I wasn’t over the top obsessed with those songs, for what its worth.

The problem with the Spanish song is that you can find it fresh and fun, but I can assure you this is that kind of songs that the more you listen, the more you start hating it. All the momentum will be long faded away by the time of the Grand Final.

that may be true, but … A LOT OF PEOPLE… don’t want to say any % … but if I had to I would say ..maybe80? %of the people watching the grand final hear the song for the first time… so I think that will be a + for a Spanish song this year… I mean I loved it the minute I have heard it, I hope a lot more people will do too 🙂

Already tired of all these stupid comments. You can’t say Spain is winning the poll only because of Spanish fans and juste because you don’t like the song. I’m from Belgium and I find “La Venda” is by far the best song for the moment. It’s catchy and Miki is really nice. And please Albania’s fans, stop trying to sell Jonida’s song as if it was a masterpiece and telling to people who don’t like that they are stupids… that’s the best way to create a propaganda anti Albania 😉 PS: to be honnest, none of those 3 songs is… Read more »

If these three were facing a Eurovision vote, Albania would win the jury vote, Spain would win the televote and France would either come last overall or pull a Jamala and win.

Just ignore Spain’s result in the forthcoming wiwi-polls and there you’ll have a fair result. Apparently Bilal’s fans haven’t found out yet about wiwibloggs polls lol.

Actually, I feel like Spain’s lead (unlike last year) is well deserved. It’s catchy and it’s well sung. I’m not a Spain stan usually and I’m sure it won’t be on my top for long but this absolutely makes sense for the three currently revealed entries. Bilal won’t get very far at Eurovision without a lot of vocal training, at least with juries. Also, I find “Roi” to be a one-dimensional song that leaves little to the audience to interpret and find themselves in. There needs to be subtext and it’s all just text. There are some cute metaphors to… Read more »
