The Netherlands, OG3NE, 1

Hitting the high notes and singing in perfect harmony is second nature to them, as they proved on the Eurovision Song Contest stage in 2017. And lately the women of Dutch act OG3NE — the sisters Lisa, Amy and Shelley — have been showing off their vocal skills once more by releasing a series of home isolation medleys. One of their latest performances is dedicated to Eurovision.

OG3NE covers several Eurovision winners in home isolation medley

OG3NE start their Eurovision medley with “Te Deum”, the opening tune of every Eurovision event. After that the sisters dive into “What’s Another Year” by two-time Irish winner Johnny Logan. They also tackle ABBA‘s “Waterloo” — perhaps the best-known song from the world of Eurovision, which was recently chosen as the best Eurovision song of all-time by British viewers.

Their third song is the 1997 winner “Love Shine A Light”. Originally performed by Katrina And The Waves, it was the titular inspiration for the Eurovision 2020 replacement show Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light and was sung by 40 of this year’s 41 acts in a moving collaboration.

But OG3NE knows how to do modern, too. So they dove into the new century with their cover of Loreen‘s massive hit “Euphoria”. The sisters finish with their own Eurovision song “Lights and Shadows”, which they performed so movingly back in Kyiv.

OG3NE at the Eurovision Song Contest

The sisters of OG3NE have always shared their love for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2017 they were chosen to represent The Netherlands and finished eleventh. Their song “Lights and Shadows” was written in honour of their mother who passed away a few months after the contest following a brave fight against cancer.

Ten years before they performed at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as Lisa, Amy en Shelley with “Adem In, Adem Uit” and also finished eleventh.

What do you think about the video? Do you like the performance from the sisters? Let us know in the comments below!

Hopefully they will come back with a proper song in the next few years. Their problem, however, is that they want to have daddy write their song. And his songs are okay but no winner’s material. Their voices are great, they just have to find a good song.

Amazing.. A feeling they will represent the Netherlands some time soon.. If the song is slightly more modern than L&S which I love I think they will get a higher placing..
