The annual Eurovision fan prediction poll is well underway. And the next club to deliver their votes in the OGAE Poll 2021 is OGAE Germany, who award their douze points to Lithuania’s The Roop. This is the second set of 12 points for The Roop, pushing “Discoteque” up to joint second position overall.
The club of 73 voters named Switzerland’s Gjon’s Tears their second favourite. The current poll leader picks up ten more points to extend his lead. Meanwhile, France’s Barbara Pravi picks up eight points.
Further down the scoreboard, Denmark’s Fyr og Flamme and Norway’s TIX picked up their first points of the season.

What do you think? Who are you awarding your douze points to? Who will win the OGAE Poll 2021? Sound off in the comments below.
Actually, I’m not surprised at all about those twelve points for Lithuania. But even though this is only one of Germany’s two OGAE member clubs (why’s that, btw and ffs?) and the other one’s results might differ greatly, it’s kind of eyebrow-raising … Even though Germany and its neighbouring countries never really shared some sort of Scandinavian or Balkan voting alliance, one would and could expect them to vote for their neighbours once they’ve got winning material at hand – especially if it’s one of the German-speaking neighbours. So, what I mean to say … maybe this vote indicates it… Read more »
Keep them 12’s coming! No complaints from me if Lithuania’s benefitting. And yay, Denmark scores! The Germans have taste!
You didn’t tell me Joe . You were telling us the semi-final results of the OGAE vote from where ?
I did! They’re not from any OGAE vote. They’re from a separate project I’m doing with musicians and Eurofans.
Ah , thankyou. I must have not checked the article after you replied . Sorry 🙂
I beg to differ
I like Denmark!
even if it pleases you this time, that’s nothing but a lucky punch. and if you don’t believe me on this, i’ll quote your ‘the germans have taste’ once jendrik enters the stage.
I like Jendrik too! Maybe it’s less the Germans having taste and me having none but everything Germany’s doing this year OGAE and Eurovision-wise I’m on board with.
German’s televote winners pretty much always match the overall televote winner in Esc. That’s their bad taste I guess
Nothing for Italy ??
Germany give Denmark 5 omg
Should give 12 !!!!
I think it’s really interesting that the odds and also many fans see Bulgaria as a safe qualifier or even a potential winner, but it’s getting almost no YouTube views or Spotify streams (and I’m really not exaggerating when I say almost none) and so far no points in this poll. Will be really interesting to see how it will do in May…
It can go either being completely forgotten and left out in the semi or being the dark horse and surprise everyone
Bulgaria chose the least fan-friendly song, on MyEurovisionTop app it was 6th out of 6 Bulgaria’s songs, on Youtube it had scored the least views before announcing this song, maybe the fans are still salty over Imaginary Friend or Ugly Cry.
It was last on the app yes . But it had the lowest views as it was released last. Still Imaginary friend and Ugly cry were the most loved and since Bulgaria decided to get fans involved in the selection , they should have listened to the fans .
20th-15th
Its one of these songs that are better live than as a studio i think. Look what happened with Portugal 2017 and Russia 2019. Not that many people like them as a studio version, but they elevated with the live perormance. I think Viktoria can create a moment with good staging and performance and create a moment. She still can end up with very good result. Look also at Austria 2018 and N. Macedonia 2019, no one thought they would win the jury votes and be in top 10.
Hee hee. This is true….
I think we already know that Germany, Spain and the UK will all be in bottom 10 of this poll and among positions 21-26 in the final.
The UK is in my top5..
But nobody likes the uk
A good jury vote is enough to put a country in the top ten.
Be sure for the germanic horror…don’t be sure for Spain…even for UK
Good, I like all the songs in the current top 3 and I wouldn’t mind if they’re the ones battling it out in the show.
Totally agree with you
I’m sure Moldova will do much better than in the OGAE poll.
I think the Moldovan trulla will totally f..k up live
For sure…lovely entry
If you asked me “which country would definitely give 12 points to Switzerland this year”, my first thought would be Germany (or France, because of, you know, the language) but what a pleasant surprise! The Roop deserve the 12 points here in the OGAE because (and I am so sad to say that) I think their result in the contest will not be as high as we expect it to be… 🙁
Btw Ireland, Belgium, Greece and Bulgaria STILL underrated
Yes indeed. I agree for Lithuania. Belgium, Greece and Bulgaria will placed between 20-10th place.
Finally it seems that to reveal their songs and to be chosen among the firsts is not so a disadvantage here seeing the scores of Lithuania and France. The Ogae members follow the national finals season very deeply as all the eurofans and I thought they could be tired of these songs, Voilà was released at the beginning of December and Discoteque at the beginning of January, Voilà was the 3rd out of 39 to be officially chosen, Discoteque was the 4th, and they still love it a lot so it’s a good sign I think.
Good observation. Now certain countries who send out teasers on 11th March should stop doing that.
Some countries have tradition to be among the last to reveal their songs, why not, I only wanted to quote that it’s not a big disadvantage to be into the firsts as some people seem to believe 😉
I find their long waited reveals annoying and since you’re pointing out that an early release will not do harm , If they have the song ready they should release it in appropriate time and now pointlessly wait for the deadline.
I find it annoying too cause I’m really impatient each years to have all the songs, to judge them, to compare them, to see the potential in them or not, to find who has chances to win, it’s an exciting moment for all the eurofans, but finally if we had all the songs in February for example and all at the same time, it wouldn’t be funny and it would be boring. To have songs revealed until 15th of March, it’s a little bit annoying yeah but at the same time it makes the excitment and the pleasure to discover… Read more »
I don’t think order matters. Germans are people who value professionalism and quality. I do not expect such good results for Lithuania from such countries as Cyprus, Malta or Slavic countries. Perhaps Sweden and Switzerland can vote for them.
Lithuania is a good song, why they wouldn’t deserve good results? You said Germans value professionalism and quality so seeing their 12 points here, it’s a good sign for Lithuania, maybe you don’t like it, it’s ok but you can’t deny it’s a quality song with a very professional and charismatic performer.
This is my country song and my favorite band. But I can already see that Cyprus did not give them a single point, and Malta and Cyprus gave each other 12 points. Neighbors voting, in addition, I noticed that the musical tastes of cross-border groups differ.
All hope for an audience at eurovision 2021 has just been lost by the way. Because of a public outcry against field lab events a lot of events are being cancelled at the moment. Politicians always want to go with the popular opinion and there is no way they’ll allow a eurovision audience now..
They absolutely will.
If you followed the Dutch national headlines of the last 3 days you’d say they absolutely won’t unfortunately.
people are really really angry that events are happening in covid time and petitions to stop that are being signed and spread heavily
Really!!? Why some people do that? Eurovision is something so special , so exceptionnal, it happens so rarely in a country, people should understand and support this event instead of doing petitions, I can’t understand that. The organizers have done all they can to make this event more secured than ever, so I can’t understand these people trying to ruin all the works that has been done since 2 years now.
It’s not a petition specifically against eurovision (altough a lot of ignorant people would also sign against this since they have no clue at all about the safety precautions) but more to cancell fieldlab tests with audience experiments in general 🙁
It’s sad, these people should already know that an experimental concert was held in Barcelona, and it works very well without issues. This Eurovision could show to the world that even with this f…ing covid, it’s possible to organize big shows and concerts with an audience and without risks. People of The Netherlands your country could be a worldwide example, so let’s do this.
Agreed! Well best we can do is hope
Fingers crossed, in any case I’m sure The Netherlands will give us a fantastic show, the show that everybody needs since 2 years.
We all hope for this and we need it.
😉 Fingers crossed guys, hope it’s all we can do …
BTW, Lithuania is SOOO overrated
Ummm… they barely get any attention now and you think they’re overrated huh. I would stick this label to another country… that starts with M and ends with A.
don’t do that to the good sis moldova
I was like Mauritania debuts in ESC ?
You know it’s not Moldova we’re thinking about 🙂
*pretends to be shocked for 12 points to Lithuania*
Okay, but how did Denmark get 5 points?! When balkan countries exchange points (mostly for Greece/Cyprus) everybody: BOOOOOO
When Western European countries exchange points everybody: YAAAAS
Cyprus a balkan country? LOL
Germany part of the Scandinavian vote block (comparable to Cyprus/Greece)? Double LOL.
You better think before you post such nonsense. Triple LOL
1) Cyprus geographically is in Middle East, but the majority of its residents are Greek=Balkans
2) If you see German votings, actually, they usually tend to support their neigbouring countries and Australia, Sweden and Norway making a voting ”bloc” (oh they support also Italy way too much, but this is not for that reason)
The ”Scandinavian” bloc actually isn’t only Scandinavian as Germany and Australia by far are part of it, while countries like Netherlands and Belgium tend to support them
They support Italy because they like Italian language songs
Denmark has dynamic…and there is no need to complain. Its a general rule. The strong entry takes the votes of the neighboors. The weak…doesn’t.
I agree there’s again no rules here, good songs are awarded by points coming from their neighborhood certainly but from others countries too, so it’s the proof that they really deserve it, because these songs are good songs after all.
Rubbish!
Switzerland (Arcade 2.0) soooo overrated and Bulgaria 0 points really?
We’ve a pattern. I can say results till now is an indicator for top 15 and top 10 and top 5. The final result will be the same with changes within these intervals. One of the top 5 will be the winner, from 10 to 6 will be these countries (+/- 1 country) etc
I think it would make more sense to have this poll after the contest, not before. Then they could be voting on everything the actual juries and televoters see and hear, instead of just half the work the performers are doing for Rotterdam.
I know this article calls it a prediction poll, but I thought they were voting for their favourites.
So happy for Lithuania :3
I think Russia is missing from the overall ranking at the end of the post. They also had a point.
OK, saw it’s fixed already.
I honestly don’t know what to say anymore. I love Gjon.. he has a great voice and a good song. I would be happy to see him in TOP 10, but sometimes I ask myself whether I am the only one who doesn’t get any winner vibes from Tout l’universe.
I really hope that the actual voting won’t be like this, cause I find it really sad and unfair that some great songs haven’t received a single point yet.
You are not alone
You seem to be unable to accept that a lot of people disagree with you and want Switzerland to win.
you guys should write an article about the russian version of “All together now”. Michael Rice from esc 2019 and Anahit from jesc 2016 made it to the final. NF stars like Nutsa (georgia 2017) and Syuzanna (armenia 2017) are also there and made it to the final.
What’s Michael doing in Russia?
girllll exactly my thought. he almost got eliminated too but he got the wildcard lmao. embarrassing
I’m not female. Kristian is a typical boy’s name lol
Crazy to think that Ireland, United Kingdom, Bulgaria and Australia have no points yet.
Like Denmark got points? Lol
OGAE is so homogeneous this year, it’s like that all called each other and decided who they’d vote for lol
agree on UK (based on my personal preference for the song) and Bulgaria. But I’m not surprised with Ireland (fan wank) and Australia (will be quite similar to ESC in 2017 – many jury points, few televotes).
Ireland definitely isn’t a fan wank as the fans certainly aren’t wanking lol ? there is zero hype there like it’s actually been effectively written off by the fans, and the odds.
Lmao how is Ireland fan wank? If anything, it’s being underrated in the odds and esc fans like it but not over hyping it.
So happy for Lithuania. Such a fresh entry.
In Sydney we voted Lithuania as 1. I’m not sure about the rest of Australia but I think Roop will top OGAE Australia too.
i am very pleased that switzerland is getting high points from everywhere. totally deserved ……
bulgaria and australia having no points is very very strange. I hope they get some at some point
Only votes from seven (7) clubs have been released so far, so I wouldn’t worry.
How many are there?
Oh wait, never mind, 35 more it says in the article.
Yes, a lot of points still to come from all of them.
Lol. Russia’s 1 point went missing
It got added now 🙂
Cannot believe Bulgaria still hasn’t received any single point
The Roop finally getting some love! With early release, it was quite forgotten with so many songs coming out in March.
So happy that there is a jury who will change this weird ranking
Denmark? Hell no? What were my Germans thinking?
<3 Block voting <3
<3 where are the points for the netherlands, belgium, austria, czech republic and poland then <3
Yep, I wanna see you asking where are the points to North Macedonia, Albania, Croatia and Bosnia when Montenegro votes, and not only boo if it gives a 12 to Serbia. You will, right? 😉 😉
I’ve never said anything about block voting though
It’s good!
And Ukraine 3 point, no…
Sorry. Ukraine 2 point, no. Sweden 3 points yeaaa
*TRASH*
Didn’t Russia have 1 point too?
Yes, from OGAE Bulgaria.
Hope that Oliver is going to fix this little typo in the article
What Typo ? Russia did actually receive points
Yes, but it’s not reported in this specific article
Yeah they had omitted it by mistake here. I thought you were calling the points given as a Typo. Omissions are not classified as typo.
Now it’s added 🙂
Oooh Hooray. Go Norway!!! :’D
