We’re just a few hours away from finding out Albania’s choice for Eurovision 2022. But, in a break from recent tradition, Festivali i Këngës doesn’t mark the beginning of the 2022 season. Because, of course, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have already decided on their entries earlier in December — The Intelligent Music Project and We Are Domi respectively.
We asked you to vote for your favourite from the two, and now the results are in!
Czech Republic’s We Are Domi are your favourite Eurovision 2022 act so far (29 December)
May might still be a long way off, but it only takes two to tango. And this has been an extremely one-sided dance. The Czech trio gobbled up almost 92% of all the votes cast. A total of 1,807 votes were cast with 1,660 votes going the way of the “Lights Off” group.
By comparison, the “Intention” rockers only managed to pick up 147 votes — that’s just 8.14% of all votes cast.
Your Eurovision 2021 favourites
29 December (2 acts)
- Czech Republic: We Are Domi “Lights Off” 1,660 votes 91.86%
- Bulgaria: Intelligent Music Project “Intention” 147 votes 8.14%
1,807 total votes
Thankfully, this isn’t a knockout blow. The International Music Project survive to fight another day. However, they and We Are Domi will face additional adversaries. Albania’s search for its next Eurovision act concludes tonight. Afterwards, we’ll relaunch the poll to include the winning song.
What do you think of the current standings? Does Czech Republic deserve its number one placing? Let us know below.
Now that Albania has selected their song, I can’t wait to see A new pole with three songs.
What the-
Already making polls with only 2 songs!?
This dude couldn’t even hold until we’d gotten a third one ?.
THE URGE…
Well it was an obvious decision. Lights Off is a nice track to listen to, and Intention, although not bad, seriously lacks impact. The decision is quite trivial if you ask me.
Nice, but I would be more impressed if Lights Off won the poll against at least 10 other songs.
I think it might get overshadowed later on when more songs are released, unless this is a very weak year. We’ll have to see
…i can’t be the only one who thinks the czech republic made the wrong choice, right? Not that I think Bulgaria is spectacular in comparison but…both could’ve done better and czech had better options like come on
I think Bulgaria need to pick a different song. Even for lovers of the genre this won’t do anything. They will absolutely certainly not qualify, so why not try something else? Got nothing to lose.
Bulgaria’s sounds so much like the generic opening theme for every other early 2000s tv show for teens/young adults, words can’t describe this downgrande, I fail to remember the last time they’ve been this bad
I am not surprised with the outcome, or even that it would be a landslide victory for Czech Republic. We’ll see how Albania will stacks up once they pick their entry.
At this early stage though, I have yet to feel winner vibes from any released songs so far. I don’t even feel any winner vibes from the songs in the Estonian selection, And the live shows aren’t gonna happen till February. The best is yet to come, I guess.
This wasn’t even a competition.
Where can I watch FiK finale and when does it start please? =)
FiK starts at 21:00 and will end around 0:00. You can watch it via the website of RTSH, their facebook page. Some people will also livestream the selection on YouTube. An example of these livestreams can be found on “EAU” or “ESC Gus”, although I prefer the first. Enjoy 😉
You have got the official livestream on RTSH website but it has issues especially when it’s the favourites’ turn to sing ^^.
So I recommand you to go either on the official Facebook page of RTSH where they provide a livestream too which works well, or on Youtube livestreams thanks to devoted Eurovision fans who make it available for everyone.
And it starts 21.00 CET 🙂
tysm! <3
how did we go from Poli, Kristian, Equinox and Victoria to……this. Bulgaria what happened
It’s a really disappointing entry compared to Bulgaria’s previous efforts, and that just makes it worse. If this was sent by any other country, it wouldn’t have gotten as bad a reaction As it got. On one hand, this isn’t the worst song Bulgaria has ever sent, but it’s definitely not the best. I’m not completely writing it off as a non-qualifier until more songs are out, but I can see a situation where if there are a lot of rock songs this year, it could fade in the background and it’s definitely at risk for not qualifying. It’s definitely… Read more »
corruption and the change of delegation happened:(
Really? When did that happen? I guess that explains it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the first action was to look at who won Eurovision 2021 and try to capitalize off it. Big rookie mistake.

Yikes. Bulgaria better take action with their song, Lights off isn’t even that spectacular but damn it’s catchy. Hope it makes the final.
I hope so too, but we all don’t know what the rest the competition will be like or the semifinal it will be in. It could qualify for a weak semifinal power but it could struggle in a stronger one. I hope we are domi does something really special with their staging so that it can attract some votes.
