The situation in Lithuania is unpredictable. There’s no clear frontrunner, as the juries preferred Erica and Ieva, while televoters preferred Urte and Emilijana. The system is such so the winner should be at least in top 3 of the other group. Unless someone budges, the winner is in the third semi. However, that might also end-up undecided. So far, I am definitely team Ieva. I hope that the televoters change their mind on her song, and support her more. I am also very interested in Gebrasy and Ruta next week.

They won’t. Lithuanians don’t really like Ieva, her attitude and close relations with the jury. And her song is pretty much the same like in 2018.

pretty much the same like in 2018” Meaning, beautiful, and would totally qualify. But that’s my opinion only.
Who do you think would win most televoters so far? Emilijana or Urte?

I hope for Urte at least, because i completely disliked Emilijana.

I am rooting for Urte too. Interestingly, I was with the televote in the first heat, and with the juries in the second. PIN really is unpredictable.

I prefer urte (haven’t heard much of emilijanas song but I don’t like it ) The only problems is that urte’s voice is pretty unstable ( for me at least)

I wouldn’t agree the song is the same as in 2018. I think it is more that her style is always consistent, which I i don’t think it is a bad thing. She is just there where she feels more comfortable and true to herself.

Just going through Gebrasy songs on spotify and they all high quality and gorgeous to me. Can’t wait to hear on the 19th for his Eurovision entry even more!

Oooh, I can’t wait. I hope it’s greater than his runner-up entry last year. If he’s gonna win, he better have one of the best songs for this selection (I’m also hoping for Ruta Loop’s Call Me By the Cold to be a standout too).

I am gutted to see Emilijana and Titas&Benas on the same level. The guys deserved way more points.

I’m surprised four of the qualifiers got the same amount of points. I am releived Titas & Benas got through because I like their song for this year better than last year’s. Cosmic Bride doesn’t deserve last place. She wasn’t the worst.

Jury votes are mostly okay, even if putting Clockwork Creep ahead of Cosmic Bride is very dodgy. Televote, on the other hand, no comment! Are people in Lithuania serious?

Norway – congrats, Frode! Well deserved. 🙂

Lithuania – Much better heat tonight! Ieva justified the hype, as her song is again – magical. 🙂 My other qualifiers are likely Cosmic Bride, Titas & Benas, Justin 3 & Nanaart, Viktorija Kajokaite, and Moosu X.

I would replace Justin with Juste.

Anyway, both jury and televote just tanked Cosmic Bride and Viktorija. 🙁 Very unfair couple last positions for them.

I’m under the impression the jury tonight gave extra attention to vocals. Cosmic Bride don’t project her voice much on the song, Viktorija looked a little nervous, Moosu X needed more control… It’s a pity, because they probably had my 3 favorite songs. Though well deserved victory for Ieva, her delivery was indeed perfect.

I really like Eline’s performance, but I will give my vote to Frode. I like his song better. As for Lithuania, I am sold on Cosmic Bride and Titas & Benas. Together with Urte, if a song on a level of Where’d You Wanna Go or Light On isn’t presented, they’d be very solid choices for Lithuania.

After seeing Elsie’s performance, Subwoolfer is the best choice for sure!

Sabrina

I found out what’s my problem with Eline’s song. Since she already has a high pitched voice (which she uses very well), the chorus sounds a little noisy to me when the equally high-pitched backing vocals come. Would love to check how it sound with deeper voices on the background.

As a long time fan of TrollfesT (and metal in general) I’m always happy to see them get their shot in the Eurovision stage. I love how metal stars and pop stars interact, they’re all in it for the love. If it works out, or if it doesn’t, it’s all just music at it’s best with everyone there together. Loved tonight, love that the season is in full swing.

Eline nailed it from start to finish!

Colin
Colin

Against all odds, Eline Noelia actually delivered pretty good vocals. The first part of the chorus is written in a way that it can border on cacophony, but she made it. Bravo, Eline!

Mira Craig was also good, but I find her song a bit too repetitive (even if, admittedly, anthemic). I also don’t understand the grammatical error in the title. In English, ”We’re Still Here” would require just as much syllables, and wouldn’t mess with the flow of the song.

*COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC* frontman of intelligent music project ronnie romero is wanted by the police since mid november.

What do you think will happen with bulgaria’s participation?

Since the article is in Greek, could you do a translated summary of what he’s wanted for? That is a good question–if there’s an outstanding warrant for his arrest, does that mean he and whole band could be disqualified? BNT clearly didn’t do the research.

I did run the article through Google translate bit by bit and I got the whole picture. Like I said, BNT clearly didn’t do a background check, but will this blow up in the larger Eurovision news press To the point that it Has to be addressed to maybe even find a new act? The best course of action would be to find somebody else if this arrest warrant impedes the group’s ability to go to Turin, but is there anyone else who could be a back up for Bulgaria the drop of a hat? I’d hate to see Bulgaria… Read more »

ok so basically he is wanted because he has posed multiple life threats agaist his ex girlfriend but once he didnt show up in a trial (not sure it was a trial) The judge ordered his arrest. For instance he has to keep a distance of at least 500 meters from her and not contact her at all, and he is also forbidden to carry any weapons anymore
