Estonia started their Eurovision 2022 national selection all the way back in December. They’ve since whittled the field down to ten remaining acts, all of whom will now battle it out in the grand final of Eesti Laul 2022 this Saturday 12 February.

One of these ten will earn the right to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy.

But who do you want to be crowned as the winner?

Below are links to the ten songs due to compete in the Eesti Laul 2022 grand final. Take a listen and then vote for your favourites.

Poll: Who should win Eesti Laul 2022?

In this poll, you can vote for as many of your favourites as you wish to. But remember you can only vote once – so choose wisely!

Grand final voting

The result of the Eesti Laul 2022 grand final will be determined over two rounds. In the first round, a professional jury will cast their votes alongside the public televote. A 50/50 split between the two will determine the top three acts who move onto the superfinal.

In the superfinal, it’s purely down to the public. Whoever earns the most televotes will be crowned the winner and become Estonia’s act for Eurovision 2022 in Turin, Italy.

Estonia is set to perform in the second half of the second semi-final of Eurovision 2022 on 12 May.

I’m surprised my vote go pretty much against the most favored songs. I voted for “Mis nüüd saab” and “Interstellar”. Let’s see, who’s the race gonna make.

As we await Saturday’s final, I thought it would be interesting to see which quarter final has the most finalists:

Q1:2 (Jaagup Tuisk and Stig Rästa)
Q2: 1 (Andrei Zevakin feat. Grete Paia)
Q3: 3 (Anna Sahlene, Elina Nechayeva, and Stefan)
Q4: 4 (Black Velvet, Elysa, Minimal Wind ft. Elisabeth Tiffany and Ott Lepland)

So it looks like quarterfinal four was the most successful With for finalists from there. Quarterfinal three has three finalists, and quarterfinal 2 unfortunately only has one.

Once again, a very strong selection show with very good songs, that it’s impossible to pick a winner. None of the songs are last-place material. However, if I have to pick an Eesti Laul 2022 winner, it’s either Stig or Stefan because Maian was robbed.

Just give them backing dancers on stage and Estonia will wow everyone in Turin.

Minimal Wind has my favourite song here. Jaagup has my favourite performance in the Semis. My cousin wants “Champion.” But, the poll says Stefan. The odds say Stefan. The fans mostly say Stefan, so it’s probably going to be Stefan.

estonia should be very wise with second place – may still be needed later.

I would say Elina because I’m not into cowboy and country and not a big fan of Stig’s music, so Elina for me.

Stefan without a doubt.
Elina… ah. Such an icon, I cant believe she agreed to enter with that bland song and that MESS for a staging! She deserves something much better, I actually thought she was going to win the whole thing with La Forza, such a beautiful track.

Ok, jokes aside. I think the best entries of the final are those of Jaagup and Stefan.

Tbh I’ve never been into this year’s Eesti Laul. So I don’t really care who’s the winner. The Baltics are having weak national finals this year.

I do agree with you 🙂 i’m underwhelmed by the baltics this year although they re often my sentimental fav coutries in the ESC.
I wish at least top have songs in native langage (Ott, jagup, Monika in Lithuania). Even though i wont strongly like the chosen songs, ill be glad to have Lithuanian and estonian back 😀

Jaagup has been my favourite from the start, but I would be very happy to see Stefan or Ott win aswell 🙂 The only entries I don’t really like are Anna and Black velvet. (Not a huge fan of Remedy either, Elina deserved a better song; sorry not sorry)

Stefan for sure! However i would love to se Andrei ft Grete win also – (Verona is coming haha) Verona performed 2 also – so who knows. Only song that i hate is Ana Sahlene – sorry

I’m rooting for Jaagup, but I would be fine with Elina or Stefan. Though I believe Stefan is the frontrunner, this year’s Eesti Laul is quite unpredictable given the amount of popular performers competing. The winner can make me happy, relieved, indifferent or disappointed.

I’ve never seen another country to hate so much its own music heritage in Eurovision than Estonia. They always manage to sound American, in order to prove (?) that they belong to the west? C’mon Estonia..

How the hell did Elina Nechayeva get stuck with such a bland song? With the pipes that she has and her charisma, she deserved something better.

Tbh I wouldn’t mind Stefan winning, I’ve rooted for him most of the times he’s been in eesti laul. Andrei and Grete, love the song but when I saw it live, idk what it was but it didn’t come together like I had hoped, I think a song like that needs close camera angles, warm tones, almost like the spilt screen mechanic that Shira did in the semis. Jaagup always does something really cool and innovative in his stage show (I think the staging for most acts in eesti laul has been disappointing for some reason, it doesn’t feel individualised… Read more »

Well, Stefan has probably the best song for Eurovision, but what really puts me off is the fact that everything about that entry feels American and this is Estonia. :/ I would give an edge to Jaagup’s song just because it is in Estonian and has very beautiful gradation.

Hope is actually evocative of spaghetti western themes which were an Italian film sub genre during the sixties and seventies. They were grittier, more violent and morally grey compared to the Hollywood western fare. Here’s the legendary theme to the good the bad and ugly https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AFa1-kciCb4. I think Hope would be appropriate to send to Italy.

I could be in the minority here (I’m not too sure what everyone else is thinking) but I’m hoping for Andrei & Grete Paia because their song has been stuck in my head since I’ve heard it, and also, in my eyes, Grete was robbed the last 2 times she’s entered Eesti Laul, so I’d love to see her get her chance to represent Estonia. But on the whole, I think it’s a really good final line up for Estonia, there isn’t 1 song out of the 10 that I don’t like, so I think it’ll be a great show… Read more »

I don’t have any interest in Stefan’s song. Maybe because I don’t like Western movies? I do not know, I just don’t get it.
