North Macedonia has only made the Eurovision final twice since 2007. In 2012 Kaliopi finished 13th in the grand final with “Crno i belo.” And in 2019 Tamara Todevska finished seventh — and she topped the jury vote.

With the news that North Macedonia has included Eurovision 2024 in its annual budget, Skopje seems set to return to the contest after sitting Liverpool out. So it’s a good time to ask: What’s your favourite act in the history of North Macedonia? You have 23 options, which are listed below.

You can vote for as many acts as you like, but you can only submit your votes one time. Be sure to click the box next to every act you want to support before pressing submit.

Definitely 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 are their golden era.

2008 and 2009 could’ve been as well if this stupid “wildcard” rule didn’t exist.

Dance Alone and Proud are probably objectively the best entries they had so far. My personal favorite, however, is 100% te ljubam. It’s a guilty pleasure of the highest calibre. These four girls sang in 24 different keys, and I loved every second of it.

Crno I Belo was the best, Proud was so overrated

Love Crno I Belo

Also love Ne Zori Zoro (fantastic orchestral) and the NF of Autumn Leaves (live with an orchestra)

Crno I Belo (i hope i spelled correctly) is my favourite. Speaking of North Macedonia , i think “Circles” was very underrated , it even came 11th and was almost a qualifier! It scored more than Andromachi’s “Ela”

One of few times North Macedonia had the package. Usually I think they have great studio tracks but poor staging which hinders them from qualifying. 2015 is the best example. Great song but the staging…

I agree with 2018 studio version , but live was disaster. If live was as studio version Macedonia would be in TOP 5 that year

One of the most memorable Eurovision moments! Unfortunately, we can only imagine all the technical issues behind such disasters, probably often it’s not entirely the fault of the performers.

Same for Israel 2000 lol!!

Technical issues might not have been the fault of the performers but North Macedonia’s choreo was comical. Who thought that fittttnesss exercises from the 80s were suitable for a Eurovision entry?

Poor North Macedonia, a country who tries but can’t achieve. There’s a LOT of entries in here that are either performed poorly or staged poorly. I think 2019 is the only real exception here from a result-related point of view. I personally am one of few people who like all three entries North Macedonia sent afterwards (yes, even Here I Stand) since Vasil and Andrea were both great vocalists. I personally would have loved to see Andrea qualify in 2022, and it’s a shame she lost to a country who didn’t even receive a single televote point

Well that’s an easy one. Crno i belo is my favorite eurovision entry of all time!

Two “undecided” countries, two articles on wiwibloggs. Not sus at all!!!

I believe it’s highly likely that:
– both countries’ participate in “SWEeurovision”.
– both countries will go with returning acts.

North Macedonia: I *love* to this day their 2012 and 2018 entries.

However Romania do not deserve to come back after the huge di-sa-sters and embarrassment of the past yearsss which are both laughable and inffuuuuriating at the same time.

Circles by Andrea was so underrated. If people had shown just a bit more of support before the contest, it would have qualified to the grand final. Very interesting song and a style on its own.

Ninanajna from 2006 is so catchy! With another artist, staging and maybe country this could actually have won 🙂

King Vlado so low, lack of taste here in the fandom

Ne Zori Zoro is a literal masterpiece, he as of this day is still very good

Kaliopi is of course iconic, but my top moment was the 2017 music video for “Dance Alone” – The VR headset was a creative idea to interpret the song that was on point, and it still plays well today. Since then, I like how North Macedonia has continued to be creative and shake it up a bit. 2018’s “Lost and Found” dropped a surprise reggae beat into a relaxed lounge; 2019 gave us a “proud” anthem using the darkness of dramatic dissonances in a minor key. Next, Vasil is an awesome singer, and I’m so glad we got to see… Read more »
