I have seen Gåte perform two times. Gunnhild sings in a captivating way. They will sweep all the points in the semi, mark my words.

So many artists with great songs: Annprincess, Gothminister, Ingrid, Thomas, Myra, Gate…
Yet what song hit me the most? Judge Tenderly of Me for some reason.

Who’s voting for Keiino? Their song is terrible… You know what? Make Norway pick it, so that the juries will bury them, I can’t wait. It’ll be epic

A great selection of songs Norway! I have to see the stage presentation to know which is my favorite, so far it’s Keiino fun song!

If Myra would have send a song like ‘Dovre Faller’ (see YouTube clip) I would have been crushed but this song does’nt really suit her

My favorite songs are from Mileo and Gåte. Ideally, Id like to see Gåte, Margaret Berger, or Super Rob and Erika Norwich. I guess we will see. My heart belongs to Mileo though lol

I don’t think there is any song sticking out, I’m really looking forward to the live shows! If I had to choose it would be Mileo or KEiiNO, but I think another could also do ok in May!

I am obsessed with Mileo’s song tbh. KEiiNO always produce bangers but unfortunately it’s their worst attempt so far, despite saying that it is still my 2nd favourite this year, so it shows how good they are

KEiiNO and My AI are still the best options for instant impact.

Gate, Mileo, Gothminster, Vidar Villa and Mistra have all grown on me since first listen.

There is still lots of time for the others.

There is no bad song imo.

Overall, this is a strong selection. Well done Norway!

if the voice from the studio version from mistra comes 1:1 to the live stage, the dead horse could be quick alive.

I love Gåte, Miia, Margaret Berger, Farida & Ingrid Jasmin.

I love also KEEiNO and Erica Norwich but for me it’s important to discover New artists in Eurovision like Gåte or Miia ! My two favorites.

KEEiNO it’s good but so generic and less good than Monument or Spirit in the Sky !

Gåte or Miia should win. They’re the only ones who could do better than Subwoolfer-style “decent public voting score but hated by the jury” 10th-ish place. Which we all know Keiino or My Ai would get. Miia has an angelic soprano that (with the right staging) could capture audiences and juries alike. She’s the safest choice of the two. On the other hand: Gåte is the most promising entry in terms of dynamism, X-factor, excitement, and being just the right balance of different and accessible. Unlike some “too out there for audiences” cultural entries like Eaea, its melodic and has… Read more »

In this, the year of Barbie, I feel like I saw a lot of revisionist takes on why Aqua was good, actually, and now Norway seems poised to take advantage of that with “My AI” or even “Damdiggida.” My personal favorite is “Green Lights,” which starts out like “Driver’s License” but blows through that comparison quickly and gives me goosebumps a couple of times. It doesn’t necessarily seem DOA with Eurovision jurors like some of these songs are. “Oblivion” and the rock songs are good as well. Keiino tends to wear down my defenses over time, and I suspect they… Read more »

What I can see from reactions here in Norway is that Gåte is the main favourite ahead of Margaret Berger. And I agree on that, and for me Gåte is the song we Norwegians should choose. They’re a experienced band who are not only loved by the people but also by our music critics. I’ve seen them live, they’re magic and with this song they’ll also going to do magic on stage in Malmø. To you Keiino fans I must say sorry. “Spirit in the Sky” and “Monument” were great songs, their song this year aren’t good enough, and I… Read more »

« What I can see from reactions here in Norway ».. Well I’m sorry to disappoint you but the reactions here in Norway is that Keiino is #37 on the daily Norwegian Spotify chart – the highest entry among the selection. Then Vidar Villa at #50, Margaret at #68, Miia at #94, Super Rob at #95 and Gåte at #105. Keiino seem to be the ones to beat. In recent years the winners were always the ones who did the best on Spotify (Tiix, Alessandra..)

Its hard to say how many Spotify listens matters this early (and what % are inside or outside Norway). Ulrikke started out as a favorite in part because of name recognition, but Alessandra then became a viral star. People generally did not think she would win on Day 1 of song release. We need to see who creates a “moment” onstage.

KeiiNO are the early favourites. However, if Super Rob & Erika Norwich get the live storytelling right, then “My AI” should win.
Norway tends to vote for something “in your face” and unsubtle, as I recall. So, here comes AI, I predict.

I wouldn’t mind Gåte but I have the feeling it’s going to be Super Rob and Erika Norwich. I mean, sending two alien wolves gave Norway a top 10 result, imagine what the giant robot can do.

I don’t know what Eurofans have in my mind when they only vote for returning artists and some outdated songs like Keiino or Margaret – can you imagine these being played in the radio? You cannot so why you’re spamming Eurovision with some basic stuff that no one will remember one minute after the final.

RAFAL

It’s so so selection, worse than last year imho where we have had Alessandra, Atle and Eline Thorp but it’s not all bad. I think Green Lights or Save Me with a bit of rearranging can do well. Keiino is ok and I can imagine it on big Malmo stage and we know they are good performers. These rocks songs are really outdated in my view. I don’t think Norway will make it top a top 10 this year but they have some decent stuff to select from.

I do not love them, and never have. To me, they were complicit in the lowest moment of Eurovision history. I’d find it quite sad if they genuinely regarded themselves as “Eurovision winners”, and the person whose feelings I would be most concerned about is the act whose victory was stolen.

They always seemed like the perfect mindless vessels of the propagandists tbh. There were some instances here and there where they were asked about Azerbaijani situations and they painted it as the perfect democracy. Maybe it’s working perfectly for them because they are regime artists but I find it hard to believe that it’s working so well for most others. Sabina Babeyeva also told our broadcaster Azerbaijan is a wonderful democracy. I still love that entry though. The song is Swedish anyway and her singing was great. At least that one had merit.

I hope AI can be programmed to have a sense of humour. Perhaps that is not possible, but at least we do not have to worry about their feelings. Maybe the junior contest should be all AI.

Margaret or Gåte for me. If Keiino didn’t win with Monument I can’t see them winning with such an average song that will probably be buried by the juries. I personally think that Gåte is Norway’s best choice. It can create a Go_A moment if staged well.

Gåte, Margaret or Miia are the only entries I can see not falling in the “Top 5 with audiences but 23rd with juries” trap. Gåte especially could create a real moment, the right balance of an accessible, catchy rock sound and a haunting, unique vocal.

You need a reality check from a Norwegian! Here in Norway most fans agrees that this is the strongest selection for some years. Eurofans were upset that a previous winner was returning not previous artists as a whole. Keiino came in sixth. If it was what you’re saying then they would have been upset about Pasha Parfeni, Marco Mengoni, and Monika Linkyte, too.

He did though…he came in the top five with the juries and Wiwibloggs came at it from an artistic angle: the song represented two sides to masculinity through the lyrics and then the music had various changes throughout the song. That’s why it did so well. I think my AI is like Gove that Wolf a Banana. It has a story behind it.
