Benidorm Fest 2025 is ready to kick off this week on Spain’s southeast coast, starting with two semi-finals ahead of Saturday’s grand finale.

Sixteen artists will take to the stage, all vying for the chance to represent Spain at Eurovision. Their songs dropped back in December, and the excitement has been building ever since.

Ahead of the big week, we asked you to vote for your favourite to win it all. After tallying and double-checking 1,852 votes, the people have spoken… and one name shines the brightest!

Lachispa is a favourite to win Spain’s Benidorm Fest 2025

Lachispa has officially taken the crown in our poll, dominating the competition with her distinctive song “Hartita de Llorar.” This fierce and emotional anthem struck a chord with fans, securing 27.75% of the votes — a total of 514 votes in her favour.

Hailing from Andalucía, Lachispa is making waves as one of the standout new faces at Benidorm Fest 2025. She’s bringing a unique blend of flamenco-inspired passion, urban pop energy, and unapologetic attitude to the stage.

“Hartita de Llorar” is more than just a song – it’s a powerful declaration of moving on and reclaiming strength. With lyrics like “Ahora no se donde buscar, juro me voy a encontrar,” Lachispa expresses her desire for change and determination to find a new path, even in the midst of the darkness she’s been navigating.

The silver medal in this poll goes to Melody. The beloved Sevillian icon is making her return to Spain’s national selection, 16 years after her second-place finish behind Soraya in Eurovision 2009: El Retorno. When she sings “esa diva soy yo”, we can’t help but feel it – queen! Melody earned 320 votes, which is 17.28% of all votes cast.

In third place, we have J Kbello with “V.I.P.”, a fresh, Spanish urban dancefloor anthem. It grabbed 10.85% of the vote, totalling 201 votes.

The rising star from Madrid, DeTeresa, claimed fourth place with her emotional track “La Pena,” earning 6.75% of the vote. Meanwhile, Celine Van Heel’s salsa-inspired “La Casa” rounded out the top five with 6.05%.

Nil Points for Hartita de Llorar. Spain you don't succeed at ESC with this style of song and to top it up her vocals is awful. Have you not learned from your previous entries?

Don’t get the LaChispa hype at all. It’s too shrill which will end up losing the casual eurovision watcher and end up flopping like Blanca Paloma did.

DeTeresa would be the best option for Spain if she can pull it off live

Bottom 4 in the semi final if they choose Lachispa. This genre has been tried many a time before , come on go for something more appealing something Europe will be captivated. Its a good song but a no from me at Eurovision.
