After two consecutive victories, and three wins in four years, France are truly on top form at Junior Eurovision. As they celebrate 2023 champion Zoé Clauzure one last time, they also have hopes of a fourth trophy to emerge as the most decorated country in the contest’s history. Aiming for this achievement is Titouan, who will compete with the song “Comme Ci, Comme Ça.”
France gave up hosting rights for Junior Eurovision 2024, having hosted in 2021 and 2023. Therefore, this year’s edition is set to take place in Madrid, Spain, on 16 November.

France in Junior Eurovision 2024: Titouan with “Comme Ci, Comme Ça”
Titouan, a 14-year-old singer and young composer from Brittany, has been passionate about music from a young age. He and his two brothers grew up exploring a wide variety of genres, and his musical tastes now include soul, blues, R&B, rock, pop rock, and chanson française. Among his favourite artists are Jean-Jacques Goldman, Janis Joplin, Jamiroquai, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Queen, Bruno Mars, and Amy Winehouse.
An active presence on YouTube, Titouan frequently posts cover songs and has gained experience in televised music competitions. In 2022, he reached the quarterfinals of The Voice Kids France as part of Julien Doré’s team, and this year he was guided by Matt Pokora on Dream Team. When it comes to instruments, Titouan’s first love is the piano, though he also plays guitar and drums.
Outside of music, he enjoys cinema and film scores, playing with his two dogs, reading manga, and cooking — especially making crêpes.
What do the “Comme Ci, Comme Ça” lyrics mean?
This year, France brings a powerful song about celebrating diversity. The title translates to “Like This, Like That.”
With a unique structure, the song begins as a ballad and then shifts into an upbeat pop tune. Its lyrics emphasise building a better world through unity, reminding us of the importance of coexisting in love and peace: “We could mix our hopes under a great sun / Our greatness and our smiles / Our colours and our desires / All we are, all we are / All we love / United in a poem.”
The song conveys that, while each of us is unique, our differences make us extraordinary, and we should embrace them: “It’s much better this way / We’re rich in our differences.”
This song invites listeners to dance, have fun, and celebrate, all while delivering a strong message of unity and peace among people

France will hopefully win again
Ok french lyricists I hope next year you won’t come again with “comme ci comme ça” as lyrics in the french song, I hope it’s the last time because it would be too much after. 😉 About the song, I love 2/3 of the song and I like 1/3. The beginning, the first minute, is stunning, the transition is surprising but not in a bad way. The following part is cool but for me it lacks of something, not enough powerful, the hook is not enough impactful imo, and comes the last minute, the last part that is powerful and… Read more »
I know that it would be the end of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, but I think that’s the best song this year and I wouldn’t mind France winning again:)
How the end? When Ireland won 3 times Eurovision in a row in the 90’s, it hasn’t been the end of Eurovision.
I don’t think France wants to win again but who knows, why not after all, we’ll see that soon…
Moreover Junior Eurovision is even more unpredictable so everything is possible.
