Eurovision 2022 Acts so far 14 February

Roses are read, violets are blue, and this Valentine’s Day we have 13 Eurovision 2022 acts for you! On Saturday, four more countries selected their act for Turin — Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine. But how do they compare with the previous nine? And which of the baker’s dozen is your favourite so far? It’s time to vote!

Italy’s Mahmood and Blanco took gold in our most recent survey, but can they hold on in a more crowded field? You decide!

You can listen to the four new additions below. Then vote in our poll. Choose wisely, you can only vote ONE time. Voting is open until Friday 18 February. We will then relaunch the poll after the weekend to include all the newly selected entries.

Eurovision 2022 entries as of 14 February

New entries

Estonia: Stefan “Hope”

Latvia: Citi Zēni “Eat Your Salad”

Lithuania: Monika Liu “Sentimentai”

Ukraine: Alina Pash “Tini Zabutykh Predkiv / Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”

Alina’s Vidbir victory has become enveloped by drama from outside the world of music. However, we will keep “Shadows Of Forgotten Ancestors” in the poll for now.

Other entries

  • Albania: Ronela Hajati “Sekret”
  • Bulgaria: Intelligent Music Project “Intention”
  • Czech Republic: We Are Domi “Lights Off”
  • Ireland: Brooke “That’s Rich”
  • Israel: Michael Ben David “I.M”
  • Italy: Mahmood and Blanco “Brividi”
  • Moldova: Zdob și Zdub and Frații Advahov “Trenulețul”
  • North Macedonia: Andrea “Circles”
  • Spain: Chanel with “SloMo”

Who is your favourite Eurovision 2022 act so far? (14 February)

Which entry is your favourite? Can any of them win the contest in May? Let us know in the comments.

Didn’t include Lithuania, cause it’s my homeland. Love the song though, my favourite by far. Other songs are simply not my style. High hopes for the upcoming ones to take me away.

Also, could anyone explain the hype over North Macedonia to me? Am I missing out on something? Lyrics are weak and nothing special melody-wise.

There are countries that always wait for the deadline or almost each years, it’s their tradition and their right , and it won’t change I guess unfortunately, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Russia, Azerbaidjan, Armenia, Georgia are the last to reveal each time.
North Macedonia, Germany, Israel did it before too but they changed so there’s still hope.

I think Finland might snatch that chance in SF2. Looking at the local singles chart (which relies heavily on streaming), the best placed songs since their release have been Ram Pam Pam (has been #1 for 2-3 weeks) and Sun Numero (peaked at #3 2-3 weeks ago but has stayed inside the top 10 since), followed by Jezebel (peaked at number #4 but it’s out of the chart now or at the bottom of it) and Kuuma Jäbä (peaked at #13 but it’s out of the chart now too). I bet the winner will be either Bess or Younghearted, they… Read more »

Home country – Lithuania (that’s why I won’t be rating Monika Liu – I cannot be objective because I looove it) Italy (the more I listen, the more I get annoyed by their high singing though) Spain (I’ve been begging Spain to send a reggaeton for years, yay for me!) Italy n. 1 but you get annoyed with their voices? Something’s wrong. Ukraine’s song Is about remembering and respecting our roots that link us to our ancestors but at the same time striving for a brighter and less painful future. How is this political exactly? It’s a universal message

Well, “Brividi” is on my daily playlist and I do listen to it a lot. However, I’m starting to notice my likeness towards “Brividi” is decreasing as I start getting tired of their singing high. As for Ukraine, you can sing about respecting your roots in a subtle way and that would be totally cool with me, but it chose to go full bold. Political bit. In any case, the song is not my cup of tea anyway.
