From the moment we saw Alyona Lanskaya emerge from an oversized disco ball during her second rehearsal, we knew that we had fallen into the orbit of Planet Solayoh. Alyona is a diva of the first order and we love how she has pouted her way through Malmö. Whether at a press conference or on the stage, it’s all about Alyona and she never lets us forget that.

So when she invited us and 500 of her other closest friends to a party at EuroClub last Saturday we turned ourselves out. Alyona brought even more boxes of chocolate to the table and eventually took to the stage wearing a sparkly silver dress, which one of wiwibloggs readers suggested was symbolic of one-party rule. She sounded amazing. We love her opening line: “Where is my music?”

Alyona also let her fellow contestants have a moment in the spotlight. Here’s Farid Mammadov singing “Hold Me”.
