It’s been a good week for all of France’s Eurovision artists, as 2011’s Amaury Vassili, 2012’s Anggun and 2013’s Amandine Bourgeois are all currently topping the French album charts as part of the compilation album “Génération Goldman Volume 2”.

“Génération Goldman” was released in November 2012, and is a tribute album dedicated to Jean-Jacques Goldman, one of the most popular French songwriters. A number of young French artists sang on the album including Amaury and Amandine. After selling over 725,000 copies, a second edition was inevitable!

The album is selling just as well as expected in the charts, with over 60,000 copies being bought in the first week. Unlike the first edition, volume 2 includes covers by 2012’s Eurovision alum Anggun as well as more covers by Amaury and Amandine. Believe it or not, there’s even a collaboration between Anggun and Amaury on the track “Né en 17 à Leidenstadt”. This is quickly becoming an album we need to hear!

The first volume topped the charts in France, as well as making the top 3 in the Swiss album charts and featuring on the Belgian album charts. If you find yourself in France, Switzerland or Belgium this week, make sure you get your copy! We’re sure our young French artists will have more international success with this album, than they did with Eurovision. Formidable!
