Alyona Lanskaya has just released a new single, “You’re the Lucky One”. It’s a very pleasant soft pop song that I will keep on my play list. I am lucky…

In Malmö Alyona grabbed our attention with a thumping dance number. But this time around she makes us pay attention with a gentler melody. It’s nothing special at first, but Alyona reaches out, grabs you and really makes you appreciate the song. It’s about love lost and reclaimed. For her imagined suitor, Alyona is the ultimate prize: “I can see a fairytale come true/ Story that belongs to me and you/ Now when everything is said and done/ You’re the lucky one.”

If she continues to release songs like this, I’m hopeful she can break out of Belarus.

What do you think? Is this going on your playlist too?

You’re the Lucky One Lyrics

I still can hear the music play
How we danced each night away
I can hear the sounds of laughter, disaster

We stood together ’till the fight
Cause we knew what’s wrong from right
Now we share our love together, forever

Just let me hold you close tonight

I can see a fairytale come true
Story that belongs to me and you
Now when everything is said and done
You’re the lucky one

Every little dream we sent above
I believe the moment’s here and now
Always keep in my what we have done
You’re the lucky one

Rain doesn’t have to be in vain
Tears can help relive the pain
Like they did to us, remember, November

I still can hear the music play
All the memories remain
Let us stay this close forever, together

Just let me hold you close tonight
I can see a fairytale come true
Story that belongs to me and you
Now when everything is said and done
You’re the lucky one

Tragedy was not meant to be
So finally this is where we start
Joining till eternity
A fairytale come true

I can see a fairytale come true
Story that belongs to me and you
Now when everything is said and done
You’re the lucky one

I believe the moment’s here and now
Always keep in my what we have done
You’re the lucky one

I’m sorry but this is really bad, Alyona should stick to singing in Russian until she improves her English skills.

Anyways, the song is pretty boring and reminds me of a one-hit-wonder from the 90s.

Ha some of the lyrics are very random, like why exactly does she mention November apart from the fact that it rhymes with remember?

Pleasant listen 🙂 I’m just learning to drive, so this is great for calm background stuff in the car 😀
