Here at wiwibloggs.com, the love for Conchita Wurst shines brighter than a drag queen’s sequins. Our team has had many encounters with Miss Wurst in recent months, and on three occasions we pulled out our cameras so that you could get a bit closer to the “Rise Like a Phoenix” singer.
Our first encounter came at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam on April 5. Conchita made it clear that she is not a transgender woman, but rather a drag artist. She does not for one second believe that she has faced the same struggle as transgender artists like Dana International.
We caught up with Conchita again at the London Eurovision Party on April 13. She had grown in confidence and chose to wear a low-cut top that bared all. She also described her experience in a boy band, which once performed for Paris Hilton.
We last filmed Conchita in Copenhagen following her second rehearsal. We presented her with gifts—including a Team Wiwi t-shirt and a Conchita Wurst Eurovision 2014 tee—and she described her overwhelming emotion after taking the Eurovision stage.
But, wait: there’s more! We also conducted two e-mail interviews with Conchita: first in 2012, when she was a favourite to win Austria’s national selection, and once in 2014, ahead of Eurovision. It’s been amazing to watch her progress and see this bird rise like a phoenix and spread her wings!

Waiting for hear more songs and an album from Conchita Wirst!
If she is not a transgender woman and not a drag artist, can we still see a little bit of Tom Neuwirth in his normal life? I think a lot of people will respect him more, as a Tom Neuwirth, rather than just Conchita Wurst. With that being said, I for one, am relieved that this is just a character that he wants to promote and show to the world!!!
big love from AZERBAIJAN Congratulations
