After days of speculation that made headlines across the world, Conchita Wurst took to Instagram to clear the air regarding Lady Gaga’s supposed invitation for Conchita to open her tour. Unfortunately for the fans of both artists, it was all just a rumour.
Like many other news outlets, Wiwibloggs.com took the bait. We published the story of Conchita opening for Lady Gaga, based on an Instagram account that looked real. But, like the fake account, the news itself was too good to be true. We apologize for the error.
Tonight, Conchita Wurst addressed the issue directly, calling out the fake account and denying the rumors:
So there you have it, y’all! Conchita Wurst was officially not invited by Lady Gaga to open for her concerts. Let’s hope not too many fans bought Lady Gaga tickets so that they could see the Eurovision winner!

Dowger, How can something as bad as what happened in serbia happened on its own, 3 month of rain within 3 day? and the fact they have blamed conchitas victory for it makes it even more obvious that it was something to do with that, the montenegro and serbian church leaders have achknoledged this.

Conchita has been the epitome of dignity and eloquence since the beginning of her Eurovision campaign. She has faced unspeakable hostility and ignorance and has held her head high.
