Loreen, the winner of Eurovision 2012, has been remarkably quiet on the music front, with no new releases since 2013’s “We Got the Power” and the re-release of her original Heal album. But the wait is almost over and we could not be happier! As her web site proclaims: “the future is near“!
For starters, there’s the name of her second album: Paperlight. No news yet on any of the songs that will be part of it, though it’s expected that “Dumpster”, the track she performed at various events in 2014, will no doubt be on the track listing. Promotion for the album is already underway though, with the trend #Paperlight being used on social media.
There’s also an event set to take place on Sunday, February 15th in Stockholm. In an e-mail sent out to her mailing list, Loreen and her team invited her fans to “create something in Loreen’s honour”. It’s said to be a “symbolic phenomenon” to take place at the Zinkensdamm Subway station – we can’t wait to see what creativity is bound to be on display here!
For those fans who won’t be able to make it to Stockholm though, Loreen has you covered. A voicemail message can be reached by calling +46 760 93 96 23 (please be aware that this is a Swedish number when calling). Loreen talks briefly and says that “we’re gonna make magic”. We don’t know about y’all, but we are excited and ready to be bewitched by Loreen all over again.
