Get ready to tune in to the news Down Under! As we previously confirmed, SBS Australia will announce the Australian representative for Eurovision 2015 on Thursday morning 9:30am AEDT, which is Wednesday 23:30 CET. At that time SBS will hold a press conference at the iconic Sydney Opera House. The Australian act will be present, though it’s still not clear if he/she/them will unveil the song.
The press release clearly indicates that SBS will announce Australia’s Eurovision Artist(s), hinting that there could be more than one performer.
The broadcast will run for approximately one hour, so make sure you’re comfortable and have some popcorn ready!

Will it be X Factor star Dami Im? Or will it be the fierce Samantha Jade? Only time will tell. We have made a series of videos of Australian artists that we would love to see at Eurovision to help you pass the time.
Do check them out if you haven’t already. You can keep up to date with all the big reveals here on wiwibloggs, and make sure you’re following us on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for more freshly sqeezed Eurovision juice.
Sad to hear it’s not Dami. This girl brings the House down every time she performs & is the best Live vocalist we have heard with minimal difference between her Studio recordings & Live performances…..Eurovision would of been perfect for Dami.
I have every Guy Sebastian album I’m so excited…I hope he plays Eurovision in concert it will make my life. I don’t even care about the song! #elated
@JonathanUK: I could have smelled it coming. He just made a music video with Lupe Fiasco (his 2nd with Lupe), and he was the first Aussie Idol winner. Good choice, because it appears he is only just starting to wind down on the music scene. If they had waited another year, it might have been too late.
Guy Sebastian!!!
The livestream started. I am so excited 😀
@ryanireland: I have no problem with them participating, so long as the EBU comes around to extend invitations in the future. Australia has the biggest economy in the continental region of Oceania, not to mention that they have a large ESC fan-base… …However, it must be said that, if they win, they deserve the right to host this contest one way or the other. If rules state that the contest must take place in Europe, why not reserve the Grand Final for that purpose, and let the Aussies host the SEMIFINALS (Day 1 and Day 2, perhaps in different cities)?… Read more »
Just putting it here that if they do send Nikki Webster or Vanessa Amorosi, that it was *me*, adam from wiwibloggs, that called it first, hahaha :p
Love Australia and all it has, but, I still have major difficulty in them participating… I feel it belittles the contest in fairness, and I have a fear that should they win, Eurovision will change forever. Why not try and push for a contest in asia or oceania like we have here. I just don’t get the decision by the EBU at all. however, in sportsmanship good luck to all the wallabies and all down under.
I am so excited! If the song is at least as good as Jessica’s one from last year, then I will be very satisfied. If they won, it would be a complete change for the future of the ESC. I doubt that they would not be allowed to partake every year. “Good evening Europe and Good morning Australia”? How will ORF and EBU solve this problem? I know many fans have objections towards their entry, but for sure it will be interesting!
@Lin & BritneyHooker – I think you guys could be right. They did tweet about Eurovision. I would very much prefer Guy Sebastion or Delta Goodrem though.
we want Reigan Derry
The Veronicas could actually participate. They have 6 unrevealed songs from their last album’s deluxe edition.
LMAO! 😀 The EurovisionTv fb page posted before a while about the news that Australia will gonna reveal tonight its act 4 Vienna and how many fans were totally unaware that Australia will participate and were completely blown away! 😛 hehe 😉 Many of us when we first were informed that Australia will participate 4 good in the Diamond Vision did not really believe it including myself.. I thought that the Aussies would gonna actually send an interval act like they did in Copenhagen with Jessica Mauboy.. But i really got it that it would be 100% 4 real when… Read more »
There are so many singers and groups in Australia, so it’s almost impossible to guess who will it be.
The Veronicas! They’re currently touring UK so they can do some promotion. 😀
I still believe it’s going to be Dami Im, she keeps saying she’ll be releasing a single soon, which I think it’s going to be for Eurovision
hmm unfortunately i can’t watch it at that time. i hope it’s dami im
Havana Brown…
I’m hoping for Samantha Jade but who ever it is I’m going to be excited and support the chosen artist/artists.
We have 9-10 hours difference with Sydney..
So when the Diamond Vision kicks off in Vienna in 9 p.m., the time in Sydney will actually be 7 am…It will be night 4 us and the next day morning 4 Aussies…Wow…Thats bizarre..
The Aussies will be watching the Vision totally LIVE this time! <3 😀
*Countdown*
In about 8 hours we will actually know at last who will gonna fly the flag *4* Australia in Vienna! <3 😀
Finally, this year’s greatest Eurovision mystery will be revealed! I’m hoping for a good artist and a great song (still hope it’s Dami Im!)
Can’t wait to see who it is!
