William: During his third take today, Azerbaijan’s Elnur Huseynov removed his dress shirt to reveal a t-shirt that said “Conchita U R Unstoppable.” Vocally, the same could be said of him. He seems to have finally found his rhythm and isn’t changing the vocals on every take now. He seems to have settled on a vocal routine. We give his vocal gymnastics a perfect 10. The dancing seemed less frantic today, and the pair (who now have matching blonde hair) have adjusted their routine slightly. At times it’s a bit more aggressive, as when the female dancer uses the male dancers’ foot as a vault (she was giving us some Svetlana Khorkina Russian gymnast realness). The dancing, and indeed the performance, is somewhat divisive. In the press room some people are whispering that it’s brilliant, while others say there’s too much going on. Regardless, it’s doused in mystery.

The “oooh” at the very beginning sounds really bad and sets him for a bad start. Well the original version of the song I listened to for weeks in the video of elnur didn’t have that ooooh in the beginning now I am hearing it in this video it doesn’t look real to me, its like as if they are not happy with the song they want to add more to which can only spoil it butcher the song, I think they should think carefullt before making decision to add anything else to the song or dancers etc. this is… Read more »

But another thing is, there are a lot of slow songs in this semi and his just doesn’t stand out much.
The “oooh” at the very beginning sounds really bad and sets him for a bad start. At best, the dance “routine” (they’re just going from left to right and back again really) and the red explosion at the second chorus can only act as an annoying distraction from how wooden he looks on stage. I like the background of the enchanted forest at nightime, but of course Switzerland is using sth similar which should hurt both. This is song contest, Azerbaijan sending another beautiful song it may be foreign writer it’s amazing when they do all the work with beautiful voice to lift foreign writer work to descent place, ,since foreign writer of the song happy to do business with Azerbaijan it deserves respect oh and this is not world or euro football game so foreign people allowed to sell their song to another nation
Ok, here we go…honest opinion… A little Screechy, but not so bad! However, it looks like Aram MP3 loaned his last year’s jacket/suit to Elnur. And the background was also loaned by the Twilight Saga… Nothing original… Nothing! Same old Russian choriagraphy, same old Swedish style of music. Same same same! Absolutely no warmth from the singer… Just standing in the middle of two cat/wolf-like creatures and singing a song with good vocals but absolutely nooooooo chemistry! HIs lack of chemistry/charisma makes the song duper boring!
If to take a look at performance in general, then main accent is made exactly on dancers. They may distract, but they are part of all show and at some point you may say they are distracting from Elnur, but at second part of song how naturally he is coming in front…Love it!
was waiting for the second rehearsal to see if all that people do say negative won’t confirm. It happened! Elnur showed that with practice his performance with get so much better!
I guess the dancers are supposed to be doing something wolfy but it looks like a “Cats” understudy performance. The LED screen is fantastic! Might be the best use of it this year besides Georgia. Elnur is again, flawless. I guess he just has never heard of “less is more”.

Well, the dancing IS ripped from Sia.
He seems to have improved since the first rehearsal. The second rehearsal was almost flawless. I’m not a fan of the backvocalist though.
