As always, the Netherlands will select its Junior Eurovision 2015 participants through Junior Songfestival, its popular multi-episode series that is basically a junior fame factory. A series of hopefuls auditioned back in March, but it’s only now that we have their names and their songs. Let’s do this!
The finalists are: Daniël, Eliyah, Guusje, Katrina, Myrthe, Nohr, Shalisa and the girlgroup 4LIFE. Their songs have been mastered by different teams of professional songwriters, including Trijntje Oosterhuis‘ brother Tjeerd, Fluitsma & Van Tijn (who both wrote “Hemel en Aarde” and “Vrede“) and last years winning producers The Rocketeers.
The same jury that selected these eight acts will also cast their votes during the live shows, and will account for one-third of the score.
The Dutch representive for JESC 2015 in Bulgaria will be decided in the final on 3 October, after two weeks of semi-finals on 19 and 26 September.
The full versions of the songs are yet to be released, so for now you’ll just have to listen to the snippets below!
Daniël – “Special”
Eliyah – “Like Everyone Else”
Guusje – “Talk About Love”
Katrina – “Dit Is Pas Het Begin
4LIFE – “You Will Now My Name
Myrthe – “Kinderen Van De Zon
Nohr – “Ik Ben Mezelf”
Shalisa – “Million Lights”
As always the participants have combined their vocal skills (and starred in a very futuristic setting) to sing the Junior Songfestival 2015 anthem “Living Our Dream”. You can listen to the song here.
