Back in September, and for the sixth year in a row, OGAE Finland organised the Eurovision Cruise which sailed from Helsinki to Tallinn. It welcomed hundreds of Eurofans on board to party and listen to great live music from ESC alums. This year the stage went girl power, as Sanna Nielsen (Sweden 2014), Ivi Adamou (Cyprus 2012) and Sonia (United Kingdom 1993) performed their biggest hits. Rock the boat, baby!
Perhaps the best known of the three was Sanna Nielsen, who won Melodifestivalen on her seventh attempt and placed third at Eurovision 2014. Sanna reprised her Melodifestivalen hits, including “Du och jag mot världen”, “Empty Room” and of course her Eurovision entry “Undo”.
Sanna performed in one of her more memorable dresses from Melodifestivalen 2015, which she of course hosted with Robin Paulsson. The crowd — including two wiwibloggers — loved her. She’s still got it…
Over the past few weeks Sanna has been one of the red hot favourites to host Eurovision next year in Stockholm. She’ll reportedly take over Allsång På Skansen next summer.
Neighbours…everybody needs good neighbours to make a voting block.
The only explanation for Bosnia is that it got top scores between 2006 and 2012 when its songs did very well all across the continent. Ireland’s highs seem a bit odd , but the Scandinavian-Viking connection isn’t…and talk about 20 countries with less than a 1.00 ratio: Sweden is certainly one of the most unequal opportunity ‘offenders’ of the bunch!!

The top 8 positions are pretty predictable. San Marino was a bit of a surprise, but that’s because it only participated 6 times so far. I didn’t expect Israel to be at such a high position in comparison to other Western European or Baltic countries ,just as much as I didn’t expect to find Greece at the bottom of the list. I am almost sure it’s the other way around for Sweden which tends to give high marks to most of the Greek entries since 2001 when Helena Paparizou became an instant ambassador for Greece in Sweden. Perhaps those days… Read more »

I think that she will return & make a comeback in the years to come in MelodiFestivalen…We haven’t seen the last of Sanna i guess 🙂
I loved her song *Undo* last year in Copenhagen’s Vision.. <3
I really liked her MelFest song *Empty Room* as well <3
{But Charlotte Perelli really deserved to win over her in 2008 with her anthemic disco epic *Hero* <3 }
