The stunning Zoë from Austria has just completed her second rehearsal of “Loin d’ici” at the Globen Arena in Stockholm. It was much of the same when compared to the first rehearsal – very feminine, elegant and beautiful. It seems that Zoë is really finding her feet on the stage, growing in confidence significantly since the first rehearsal.
The staging of the performance is entirely identical to the first rehearsal. The hues of pink and orange is still heavily present in the LED’s along the floor and the back wall. Zoë is looking easy, breezy and beautiful in her peach dress – working the life out of the wind machines.
It’s now safe to say that the treadmill that was present in the Austrian national final is officially gone for good. Perhaps the Austrian delegation have leaned more towards a #safetyfirst approach.
It’s still a beautiful production. Zoë innocent charm is incredibly endearing and it will be exciting to see how the performance from Austria progressed from here.

Much improved when the camera blocked the view midway…feels more like something that may have won in the 60s/70s. But it’s a memorable tune, may surprise a few.
A pity this won’t qualify. I think Zoe had a better song in 2015. She’s lovely and talented but this is forgettable and more like junior eurovision.
Cringeworthy is what comes to mind when I hear this. I heard junior Eurovision been touted for other entries (and their staging) but this? I don’t think junior eurovision would even enjoy this. It’s sickly happy. I find her completely boring and personality-less. I feel like any of the higher notes she had have been removed and replaced which makes it even more monotonous and repetitive than before. Austria missed a treat with ELLY who could’ve had a really progressive and current song with some awesome staging, whereas this crap has a particular niche. I see this coming dead last… Read more »
I LOVE this song!!!
So lovely! I really hope she qualifies!
So sugary and childish. I find it boring.
Might get lucky.
Was always a borderline qualifier and with Azerbaijan and Estonia not measuring up, has got a chance.
The fact that it is not a vocally challenging song might actually serve this well.
Sad to also hear the removal of treadmill. Still, I can no longer wait for the first semi final.
The realness thing is really becoming a signature in this site.

No idea, but I think the word you want is “sampling”, or “tasting”
I hope they served falcon though. I heard Maltese Falcon is REALLY good.
Does someone know why Ira Losco invited of all Zoe and Freddie to her “degustación” (I do not have the English word ready) of Maltese delicacies? Does she like them more than the rest? Does she want Malta to give their points to them? 😛
if you like her, just vote for her 🙂 🙂 🙂
now i’m excited to see if Ira changed her dress, she had a dress fitting yesterday so it could be possible
Love Zoe, love the song, love the staging …. Pure class.
Also she is looking so good in that dress, so glad she changed from a baroque nightgown into a proper GOWN for Eurovision.
I am scared to death that she won’t qualify and y’all will hear me scream if she really doesn’t. Austria’s chances get always ruined by the televoters, placing them 10 to 20 (!) places lower in 2011, 2013 and 2015 than the juries. And although she got the most cheers and applause at fan events and scored 7th place in OGAE, televoters at home usually vote for absolute winners, their neighbours or their homeland. And the jury might not be too fond of the dance beat. (I also prefer her Album version with strings and no beats and I could… Read more »
Sadly not a chance now without the treadmill, which made it stand out!!
I hope she qualifies, but i doubt she will 🙁
Still no one has walked in the LED background, the big gimmick of the stage.
It really looks stripped down compared to previous versions. I like it that way- its a simple song- the staging should be relatively simple too. Also glad they got rid of the treadmill- the whole “walking through the fantasy land” schtick got old.
This is still one of the most unique songs in the contest. Here’s hoping Zoe can nail it and get herself into the semis (she should, easily, but Europe be nuts)
This is just plain beautiful. The song is catchy and the staging looks awesome. I love it!
Zoe, what a sweet classy girl
please vote for her everyone i really hope she qualifies 🙂
