When he goes low, he goes so low. Luca Hänni is representing Switzerland at Eurovision 2019 with the song “She Got Me”. The dance club banger is the second favourite to win Eurovision with bookmakers. Yesterday, Luca performed at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam and also caught up with our William, revealing some interesting information about his Eurovision staging.
Luca Hänni interview — Eurovision in Concert 2019
Luca revealed some morsels of information about what to expect in Tel Aviv. He revealed that they will be going for a different concept from the music video. He was tight-lipped about what that would entail or if any elements from the music video would be carried over. However, we know Luca will be dancing and there will be plenty of energy on stage.
We asked Luca about the comparisons to “Fuego” that some fans have made. Luca believes that “music is music” and says that “we all cook with the same things”. He loves “Fuego” and views the parallels as positive.

Additionally, Laurell Barker is one of the songwriters behind “She Got Me”. Luca discussed the experience of working with Laurell and writing the song during the songwriting camp. He revealed that the song was born on the piano, playing with chords, before coming together as the package we hear today.
Luca is also training very hard to ensure that he can sing and dance simultaneously. He trains by singing on the treadmill or when exercising, building up his stamina ahead of Tel Aviv.
Luca Hänni will perform fourth in the second semi-final, following Moldova’s Anna Odobescu and preceding Latvia’s Carousel.
What do you think of “She Got Me”? What do you hope to see from Luca Hänni on the Eurovision stage? Let us know in the comments below.
Luca is so nice and likable in this video. 🙂 All the best to him!
My fave pop bob of the contest, let down by the live vocals here.. Hoping he can improve his technique before the semi’s.
Those lines at the beginning of the interview are not very reassuring for people who are worried about his vocals.
i’m sure it will look, sound better in tel aviv, good luck Luca
i mean we can’t Judge EiC performance cause honestly, he will have dancers with him in tel aviv, ok maybe a few vocal lessons more to polish that
It was clear he was just having fun at EIC. He can sing live, but unfortunately the bookies think otherwise. and his odds have drifted a bit since his performance. He is now in third position.
It’s okay. Going into rehearsals in third position is great!
You were awesome together.
Such a pity that Luca let you only sing with him. Well – taken the stage from his back 🙂
I’m curious: Is he really 165 cm tall?
What does it matter?
That means I’m nearly almost the same height as he is (yeah, I’m a funsize) 😀
William is tall and it’s obvious he bends a bit to get at a level with Luca. Luca’s height is irrelevant though. We don’t have to put people in a box, tall or short.
He doesn’t have to try so hard. He’s hot.
It’s the first time I understood why he is so hyped by the bookies. I think the key to his success will be choreography. But with SJB he is in good hands
@wiwiwbloggs William: You were on the Dutch public channel’s news last night when interviewing Duncan! 😀 They showed that part that you felt nervous, and Duncan asking if you still were nervous, and you mentioned his calm aura. So, yeah: some 1,7 million people saw you interviewing Duncan. 🙂 Look at “Journaal 20 uur” (news at 8 o’clock) in the link below:

i mean of course….. he was just havin fun without takin himself too seriously in amsterdam, let him be
This interview looked really fun to film! Also loved William saying he “would go so low” for Luca!
What can I say? He *is* cute.
