She won Georgian Idol seven years ago before becoming your favourite “Warrior” at Eurovision 2015.
And on Wednesday Nina Sublatti celebrated an even bigger achievement, as she welcomed her first child into the world with her husband George Shamanauri.
Nina shared the happy news on Instagram, uploading a photo of the baby, who appears sound asleep with their lips pressed against their arm. Nina did not reveal the child’s gender, choosing instead to focus on the love in her heart and the innocence and beauty in the child’s face.
Writing in the Instagram caption, the “Warrior” singer said: “I don’t know, someone’s little child came to me.”
Congratulations have already been pouring in, with people sending their best wishes in the comments of Nina’s Instagram post. The well-wishers include Georgian singer and Unser Lied für Lissabon finalist Natia Todua,
The couple’s romance started years ago and he even accompanied her to Vienna during Eurovision 2015 when she left us breathless with her smoky performance choreographed by Sacha Jean-Baptiste.
Nina continues to slay her way through the music scene. Since ESC she has released the genre-defying songs “Locked Box”, “Heart Won’t Suck It”, “Vision of Mind” , “Spiritual” and “Home”. She’s also hosted X Factor Georgia.
NINA SUBLATTI AT EUROVISION 2015
At Eurovision 2015, Nina took Georgia back to the Grand Final and recorded an impressive 11th place result. She helped Georgia finish ahead of both of its Caucasus neighbours Armenia and Azerbaijan for the first time in the country’s history.
Her Eurovision entry “Warrior” was hugely popular among both the Wiwi Jury and our readers, taking home the titles of best music video for her cinematic masterpiece and best female vocalist for her performance in Vienna.
