hurricane loco loco

In the mad rush to cover last-minute Eurovision song releases last week, we somehow managed to miss the latest winds from Serbia’s Eurovision 2021 act Hurricane. Well let’s correct that wrong right now by having a listen to their acoustic performance of “Loco Loco”, which puts a stirring and emotional spin on their dance floor hit.

Yes, you heard that right. The talented trio of Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić and Ksenija Knežević performed their upbeat banger in a more mellow, unplugged form. It happened during a recent episode of the Ami G show. You may recognise the host. Ognjen Amidžić was part of the band Flamingosi, who sang “Ludi Letnji Ples” in Serbia’s Eurovision 2006 national selection.

Hurricane perform “Loco Loco” in acoustic

The three queens perform the song to guitar accompaniment while sitting around a coffee table with their fellow guests. It’s a welcome reminder that despite their wild costumes and fierce choreography, the main attraction here is their collective ability to sing and harmonise.

It’s a totally new spin on “Loco Loco” — a full-force banger that builds on the energy and attitude from their Eurovision 2020 song “Hasta La Vista”.

The song is sung 99% in Serbian – the exceptions being the Spanish title lyrics and one English phrase from Sanja in the bridge.

The music video for “Loco Loco” features the girls of Hurricane bringing the dynamism that fans love them for. Sanja, Ivana and Ksenija each rock an 8os-inspired curly perm hairstyle that contrasts from the straight hair we usually see from them. They all serve face to the camera and bring the party atmosphere. There’s also balls aplenty in the video, with bathtubs that are filled with disco balls and smaller multi-coloured ones.

Are you loving this version of “Loco Loco”? Do you think that it should be included on a future album? Let us know in the comments box below.

I guess it tells a lot about the category of people who read this post, whose reactions/dislikes are thus irrelevant. It’s easy to anonymously spread hatred, because it takes courage to do that publicly and under real names. That’s something we need to learn to ignore, as we don’t know who those people are and if they have any credibility at all.

It’s special since it has provoked you and made you share your negativity with others.

Let me guess, that’s also a feminist song for women to unleash their power?

Your commentary is irrelevant. I actually think you’re the biggest fan of those girls.

Honestly I am. Especially of Sanja. That’s why I’m so bitter they chose this song because they can do so much better.

What would be that “better” in your opinion?

No offense but all these songs about female empowerment are starting to feel a bit insencere

In Loco Loco they sing to a guy telling him to sleep with them because he is alone and they are sweet and fine. Where’s female empowerment there? 😀 You got the point wrong

nowhere in the song I did not hear that anyone would sleep with any of them ….. but everyone has the right to their own opinion, as someone said these days. “We project our desires and what we would do.”
So this comment Tina says a lot more about you.

They aren’t singing for him to sleep with them. They are trying to encourage a shy/reluctant guy to dance and have fun (party) with them. They will just get crazy at the nightclub – dancing/wild dancing, loud, laughing, maybe drunk, breaking things/glasses (lom, lom, lom), etc. & then running around town going to other bars & clubs. Nothing specific about sex, unlike Moldova’s “Sugar” which is referring to sex throughout the entire song.

Nobody called them trashy. They are amazing girs with amazing vocals but the song is trash. Especially if you understand the lyrics.
