On Sunday she burned up the stage at Poland’s Wakacyjna Trasa Dwójki 2021, performing her new hit “La La Love” and her beloved Eurovision track “Tick-Tock.” But days later Croatian star Albina was still in Poland after testing positive for the coronavirus.

The twenty-two-year old singer revealed the news on Twitter on Sunday evening, explaining that she’s not allowed to fly home.

Albina, who was recently named Miss Congeniality in the annual wiwibloggs Vision Music Awards, is maintaining her positive spirit. In an Instagram post, which shows her on the Wakacyjna stage, she joked: “It was so good that I had to stay longer.”

She punctuated her comment with a green heart and a cry-laugh emoji.

Albina’s performances in Poland showcased once again why she’s one of her countries fastest-rising stars and one to watch as she moves forward with her career post-Eurovision.

Singing “La La Love” she raised the temperature on the summer as green lights created a mysterious, sensual atmosphere.

For “Tick-Tock” she stood centre stage while working a deliberately asymmetrical outfit. A white coat cut a diagonal hem across her thighs, which was offset by some unusual leg décor. Her right leg sparkled in glittering hose, while her left leg was covered by what appeared to be a thigh-high leather boot — again with asymmetrical flair.

Albina wasn’t the only Eurovision star to make an appearance. From 45:50 below, you can watch Cyprus’ ESC 2021 singer Elena Tsagrinou burning up the stage with “El Diablo.”

Poland’s Eurovision 2017 singer Kasia Mos performed a few times as well. Below you can enjoy her cover of Katy Perry’s “Hot N’ Cold”.

That’s another one after Joi from Gagnamagnið and Barbara… These things happen even if you’re careful and try and be as covid-free (man I hate saying that phrase) as possible. Wish all the best to Albina and hopefully she won’t have a major problem with the virus, as she has vaccinated (looking at you Nina…)

You cant really escape it, that’s the point. At some point everybody will get it.The trick is to avoid that everybody gets it at the same time so that health care don’t collapse. And prevent society from collapsing..

Has something happened with Nina as far as the virus is concerned?

Don’t think so but she’s an antivaxxer

Damn. Really can’t understand people being anti-vaxxers. Like we literally have a solution to the crisis and people don’t grasp it.

Complaining about not being able to fly back home and saying she’s been using public transport to get around Warsaw is not the best look… Her publicist should have taken that tweet down asap.

Feel better soon Albina! Covid still is a big issue that needs to solved. That’s why it is important to get vaccinated!

From what I’ve read it seems she’s not ill, she just had a positive test.
