EMA 2022: Show details
Slovenia will select its act for Eurovision 2022 on Saturday 19 February. But there are three qualifying shows to come before the EMA 2022 grand final — the EMA FREŠ final on 28 January, semi-final one on 5 February and semi-final two on 12 February.
Each semi-final will feature eight pre-qualified acts alongside two EMA FREŠ qualifiers. There will be six qualifiers on both nights, with the public televote selecting three and an expert jury choosing another three, resulting in a 12 song final. The overall winner will be determined by a 50/50 split between the public and a jury made up of five different panels.
What do you make of these song snippets for EMA 2022 semi-final one? Who is your early standout? Let us know in the comments below.
I like Bowrain, Zala and Manouche.
It’s nice that July, where she prepared the song Raiven Kaos in 2019, is now applying for a ticket to Turin
July Jones is very good but in live i dont know… I hope she will do a good live !!
I love also Jonatan Haller, Batista Cadillac, Le Serpentine and Bowrain/Brina !
Wow – the songs really sound very promissing. Musical diversity and a bit alternative. Well done Slovenia!
I’m really looking forward to listening to the full version of ?as Je
Girls can do anything I’m getting Todrick’s vibe on this one. So I’m rooting for this one
I quite like these songs based on the snippets, especially Madouche and July Jones.
Maybe I need to listen to the whole songs, but I’m just not feeling it with this first semi final of Slovenian entries. Maybe it’s a language barrier because all but one are in Slovene (nothing wrong with that), but I don’t know.
July is the real deal

Oh gosh. I think no one of them can be called a winner song. Achieve the final only Jonatan Haller
The EMA Freš snippets are waaaaay better than these
I am so pleased that EMA is back, you can always count on Slovenia to bring something a little alternative. And in Le Serpentine, I am perhaps the most excited I have been all season. I am loving The Beach Boys vibe, I don’t think we’ve had anything like it so far.
July Jones is the most established one out of the bunch. She’s currently on a UK tour…
Girls Can Do Anything, ?as Je and Obzorje seems like interesting ones
Obzorje is in the lead so far. But girl, I hope there is better things to come. It’s diverse music styles though.
