‘Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizje’ is Poland’s latest effort to improve their results at Eurovision. Ten artists will battle it out in Saturday night’s final for a seat at the table in Turin, with the possibility of securing Poland’s first Eurovision victory.
Ahead of the show, we asked you to vote for your favourite entry after hearing all the studio cuts.
After a grand total of 2,634 votes, we have totted them up and we have a resounding winner!
Ochman is your favourite to win ‘Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizje’
Ochman with his entry “River” has sailed into first place with 1,477 votes, or over half the total vote (56.01%). Swimming into your hearts, he is the resounding favourite
Krystian Ochman was heavily tipped to be flying the Polish flag in Rotterdam last year. But in the end, The Voice of Poland winner wasn’t selected and Rafał Brzozowski represented the country. One year later, though, Ochman is back and in the driving seat for Eurovision.
A little further back in second place with 482 votes ( or 18.3% of all votes cast) is Daria. Her entry “Paranoia” has already racked up nearly 7 million streams. To put that into perspective, Ochman’s “River” has only racked up 300,000 streams.
The bronze medal was close, but third place just goes to Ania Byrcyn with her entry “Dokad?” with 140 votes and 5.32% of the total vote. Curiously, Ania also finished in third place in Season 11 of The Voice Poland.
The winner that year? Krystian Ochman. Will history repeat itself on Saturday?

no reaction this year?:(
I think it is made as a very Eurovision friendly song. To me it actually gives Gjon Tears vibes in its stylistic. I am not a fan of Eurovision tailored songs, i prefer experimental kind (not always, but most of the time I am leaning to that direction). But these type of songs get a lot of popularity in Eurovision so i think he might be a contender.
For me it’s more like Hozier mixed with Imagine Dragons.
I have no sympathy for the song “River”
As much as I want to love it, I cannot.
A bit too many ballads in the past years, no?
Also to all the Poles daydreaming about Eurovision 2023 Warsaw, it’s not going to happen.
Props to Ochman for the vocals. Top-notch
what makes you call this a “ballad”? It’s way too up tempo in sections to be easily classified as such…
Some people know only 2 genres. It’s either ballad or bop.
a bit binary.. Eh?
it would be a good choice and it might do well for poland’s standards, but people acting like this could be a contender for eurovision victory need a better grip of reality
Why you don’t think it can be a contender? Whose song you’d think might be better?
this song isn’t memorable enough to be a contender, that’s it. his voice only takes it so far.
I mean, let’s face it. This year is really weak so far. There’s not that much competition.
and river isn’t competitive enough to be considered a threat either
So we’re at this point during the Eurovision season where fans are calling it a “weak year”.
At least, people can now check that off on their Eurovision bingo card.
“River” is not my favorite
For me the songs I prefer are :
Dokad? or Paranaioa
Even last-place MILA (Emilia Debska) would be better than last year…
Being better than “The Ride” isn’t quite an achievement, huh? 😀
“River” could win Eurovision.
No pressure, Poland. Haha.
Good luck Poland
Good luck Ochman
Whatever your opinion on it, River is the best choice for Poland.
i literally want czysta woda but i see i am of a minority
same, clearly the best
For me too…
what do you mean..”literally”? What does that word add?
it’s suggesting that it’s slightly funny bc she’s nowhere near the favourite
That’s a polish way to strengthen the message 🙂
I think he will easily win the final, his song and the music video have gone viral and his live performance will be strong, i guess. He is very cute and talented.
Paranoia has more streams because it was released weeks/months before River. I think it will come 2nd like Margaret in 2016.
I just realized the chorus of River reminds me of I Was Gonna Cancel by Kylie Minogue lol. Am I the only one hearing it? Anyway, I love his song and Poland will be my top 3 if they pick him (or Daria)
Let’s just pray that Poles will vote for him as eagerly as wiwibloggs’ readers.
Don’t worry, we love Krystian a lot and if he doesn’t win the televote it would be surprising.
I must say – his song have some moments which I really like (goosebombs with a’la opera part) and parts with meh. For me after this huge brigde should be powerful ending but ending is just meh. For me his song or Daria but here too I think it needs a little revamp.
To make it clear : Ochman was on TVP’s wishlist to represent Poland in Rotterdam last year and the Polish broadcaster formally asked him for it. But Krystian refused suggesting that Alicja should have gone as she was selected in 2020. And also he didn’t feel ready yet to go to such a big contest. He didn’t know Eurovision till last year, first time watching the contest, he loved Barbara Pravi’s entry, as he says in interviews. And also the experience as a member of the Polish jury at JESC 2021 made him change his mind, with Universal’s support, his… Read more »
How come he never watched Eurovision before?
He grew up in the States. Came to Poland for his studies like 2 or 3 years ago
He lived in the US most of his life
He was raised in US
Hope he does. He is my favorite too. But I am 100% sure the fandom will hate on any other artist who wins besides Ochman tomorrow. So, please, prepare yourselves to expect that the other artists have a chance too and have nice songs. Don’t hate on them if they win tomorrow.
Yeah. He’s my favourite too, but LITERALLT ANYONE will be better than last year entry.
No matter who gets picked (but likely Ochman) they are miles better than the ride.
