What do you think about the winner of Pesma za Evroviziju 22 and representer of Serbia? Let us know below.
Multi-layer song. The lyrics are really something. The question about our (post-covid) mental health at the end is so spot on! Scenography compliments the song. I think that excessive hand washing is “her way” to remain healthy since she, as an independent artist, cannot afford to fall ill as she does not have health insurance. It reminds me of the performance by Marina Abramovi?.
This song is allready one of my favorites of all times. Original, catchy and deep at the same time. And there’s that theatrical performance so rooted in present time, washing hands because of COVID. It’s just incredible!
The secret behind Megan Markle’s healthy hair is that she deep hydrates it in the queen’s tears.
I read it somewhere.
Pure quality! Has it all! Is Europe ready for this? I think it is 🙂
Ermmmm NO.. the song is cute, but this is not even singing.. I mean it’s a song contest, not a recite contest..
Performance is good, even tho she is washing her hands for three minutes, it’s still cool, I will say that, but the song is just a mess..
Sorry Serbian fans..
I literally can’t get my eyes off this, she’s like a villain in a dystopian YA novel.
The song is great. The country politics I do not support. Therefore not voting for it
To bad you are mixing art with politics.
You can obviously see from the lyrics that she doesn’t really support the country politics either. So that’s all the more reason to support her.
(Meant to post as a reply to Mariia, but mixed it up :))
To bad thic contest is toxicated with politics last few years.
We all know Ukraine will win this year and that has nothing with music.
It was the same even when Jamala won.
Serbia won too as a satisfaction of losing Kosovo. It was a good song but not that good.
To answer the Meghan Markle question, if I may:
The secret is in her genes, hair supplements, and a healthy balanced diet.
Pandemic and isolation really has had its toll on people..
The entries this year……
This is somehow like a car accident: You cannot not watch it and not pay attention to it.
I dont think this song is actually written to be liked by so many.. Both the lyrics and the performance are deeply sarcastic, and not everyone can tolerate that even less so in a eurovision song: But you might need to come to the final verses in latin to get the whole picture. Personally, the aspect of this performance which I find most amusing is that people are massively engaging in the close reading of the song as if they were attending a literature class, whether they like it or not. For those who dont have the patience to do… Read more »
Dont mix metaphore or irony with sarcasm. Sarcasm hurts, the previous two make you think.
She actually said she never thought she could win the national finals, just wanted more people to hear her music and what she has to say through her art. So, a likeable song for the masses was never an option.
Well, she will have quite an audience, I hope she’s up for the challenge! 🙂
Is there a better moment to create a reminder for all humanity, that it’s failing, and it is failing because it is obsessed with trivial things (Megan’s shiny hair?) completely forgetting about true values that should lead us through life? Hello? The world came so close to a possibility of nuclear devastation – should we really sing about anything else right now? Should we dance and just forget about where our societies are heading? Well done, Konstrakta. Eurovision’s stage will welcome a true artist with a powerful message this year for everyone willing to hear it and embrace it. And… Read more »
Okay, I’m addicted to this song. I adore how out of the box it is and how provocative the lyrics are (provocative in the best way possible). I love how it delivers strong criticism with a huge punch, despite being understated, purely musically speaking.
This is thought-provoking art at its best
That comment was a joke hah.. This song is my #2 so far but it desperately needs a small revamp. I get the point of the whole thing is the performance but for me the instrumental is missing things and it needs to be polished and made a bit richer. The eurovision channel added the ”National Final Performance” which means there could be one. Just small details would make the song 10/10 because the melody and the lyrics are already great
The national final performance video is now on the Eurovision official YouTube channel. Go watch it and share it! Let’s get our Hygiene Queen in the Top 20 most played videos of the month!
Hmm, the first time I listened to this, I was quite confused on what to think about this song. Then, I listened to it, like 3 times more. It started to grow on me really fast! It’s different, and the meaning is actually amazing, though the lyrics are kinda weird (I still don’t understand why she has to mention Meghan Markle’s hair?) Soon I got addicted to the ‘Biti zdrava’ hook. I think this would great and unique to see at Eurovision. Please don’t underrated this, Europe 🙂
We should all say NO to fascism and Nazism, regardless of whether it comes from Russia or Croatia. @William Lee Adams
First of all, this is discussion abuot Serbian entry! Second, not entire Serbia is pro-russian, not everything is politics and not every president speaks in the name of the people. Btw, this song win was so unexpected bc is so different and it’s not something that an average “pro-russian” Serb would listen to, and still got 2 times more votes than the second placed. If you look at the performance, you won’t miss Ukraine flag in the background! After all, who are you to make me explain all of this to?!
400 comments. Has any other entry created this much buzz for 2022?
only Spain and that was mostly angry spanish eurofans. Queen Konstrakta is coming for top 5
The previous article of France entry has 503 comments.
Wiwiblogg team, please urge! This sentence was a fascist greeting during WW2 in one of the German nazi puppet states, where they committed atrocities, killing hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews, Roma in the concentration camps… There’s no place for hate speech on this site!
Just check the screen at 2:21, and I think the Serbians indirectly told you what they think of this conflict, quite the opposite I would say.
You’re just making something worse than it is. Stop, don’t be rude, be healthy, don’t have a desperate mind in corpore sano, just like the song says ;D

the power of this woman omg.
nothing cringier than your username
nothing wrong with that tho. Serbs have chosen the song so it’s normal they like it. :))
Song is just epic!!!!! With great message and performance, artist looks just unique and amazing, iconic! …there was never so deep message. Well done queen!!!!

There might be some changes now, I’ll check on later
And you’re pathetic!!!!!
Is this Conan’s reincarnation? Have the Eurovision Gods given us another chance after the merciless murder of Portugal’s pure art in 2019? I’m obsessed with this song and performance, I don’t mind if she wins this year
I sincerely hope so.
Well this will be a crime if Serbia qualifies or even don’t finish dead last. You can’t compare both. Telemoveis was far better and original. Serbia 2022 song is just a pure nonsense without any melody. The first time I watched the performance video I thought this was an intro/postcard to the song until I realized this was in fact the song after maybe 20 seconds lol.
And the award for the most brainless reply of the internet of the year goes to…
It’s obvious that you have an issue with the entire nation (racism in disguise) rather than the song itself. Couldn’t be more backward than that…
Says the person who uses fascist salute…
exactly..
So many Serbians commenting here, just like on reddit making sure they voice their opinion above the rest and shot down anyone with an opposite opinion. I’m all in favour of songs with storng messages but the reality is that this is not a song, it’s just a mess that looks like a joke entry. It is forgettable but her dystopian face is surely memorable but not for the good reasons. The whole staging looks like an induction in a cult (American Horror Story WHO?). The Meghan Markle line is ridiculous…. (there are no headlines about Meghan’s hair…) This is… Read more »
Blah, blah…. go to bed, and do your homework, pleeeeeease!!!!!
Konstrakta reminds me of a Serbian Laurie Anderson. This is Avant Garde, performance art.
I hate how the reactors on YouTube are calling this weird and strange. In Corpore Sano is original, creative, thought provoking and unconventional and everything a Eurovision song should be. Well done Serbia.
If by tone you mean voice, I barely see the comparison. Her voice is not raspy nor it’s dark. She has a lovely timbre, but I don’t get Nico vibe from it.
Apprently The video is trending in at least 15 other countries especially in countries a lot of people would not expect like Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and many of the Balkan Peninsula have had it trend on YouTube
Can you please provide the source?
Serbian diaspora is big in Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Germany etc so they always have Serbian videos in the trends (even non-Eurovision)

Remember Poland 2014, they did churning and laundry now we got to see Serbia washing hands 😛
To all those who have enjoyed this song I warmly recommend seeing it in its proper setting:

I agree with all you said. I’m not much of an expert for local music scene, but I expect that a mainstream teenager had never heard of her. She’s been around for some time and is quite well known among the people who like that kind of music – again, not something that you’d hear in an average night club.
I totally agree with you on finding new artists.
For Konstrakta’s past work specifically, check out Zemlja Gruva. She only recently went solo. Fun fact, another PZE22 finalist is a band-mate : Zoe Kida
check out Zemlja gruva. Konstrakta’s, as well as other Serbian EVS contestant- Zoe Kidahh, original band
Since we have so much protests all over the world and europe, if this song hits the right audience (witch is actvists) it could do great bc this song is a critick on many levels. I’m sorry if eurovision doesn’t want rebellion songs, but Serbia is sending one of them!
Love it! ESC 2022 just got interesting!!
We love our Hygiene Queen!! <3
This is my #1
It’s fine, but it’s nothing compared to HU-HU-HU-HURRICANE!
Absolutely adore this entry already, her delivery and just the whole vibe of it is insanely engaging. Certainly up there with the greatest Serbian entries (“Molitva” included), at least for me, and could very well end up my favorite out of all of them. Many thanks, neighbors, will 100% be voting for you in Torino cause I can only dream of my own country sending something like this currently, especially when our clueless jury pushes through acts like WRS mumbling his way through some random Spanish…
this isnt telemoveis 2.0. It is trending in almost 10 countries, it got the most votes ever in a serbian national final winning both juries and televote. Of course the fandom judges any anti commerical song (as they did with Go_A) but here its beyond any fandom. Its a piece of art that needs very careful execution for a paneuropean audience. People already talk about this and they will more in may.
if I were RTS I wouldn’t even bother to go to Turin. The national final performance is perfect as it is. add the subtitles and the entry is ready to go. the way it slayed sara jo and zorja talks a lot about the power of the entry.
totally but there is nothing wrong with just fixing details to make this even better. For instance i would love more close ups to konstrakta, her beauty is mesmerizing
Queen!
Washing hands …”OCD quality” is on point…That’s it! There is NO HEALTHY MIND (???? ????) in HEALTHY BODY (?? ??????? ????). That part is left and excluded! The song has many layers but one of them is the problem of mental health and the human obsession with a healthy body. The other is a bad health care system. If you don’t have health insurance you are invisible to the government. Also, she is an artist and the state doesn’t care about artists and cultural workers and culture at all and their struggles. And yes it’s Marina Abramovich’s influence, too.
finally took some time to read the lyrics translation. I’m DEAD =x
so clever and provocative!
I don’t see this song qualifying. Not due to the lack of artistic merit but I simply don’t see it attracting either juries or the public. It lacks the radio friendly appeal or the big vocal skill it’d need to score highly with the juries. It’s also not catchy or fun enough to get the public to pick up their phones. As for the medicalisation issue it draws attention to, I don’t think it’ll transcend borders to be relatable to most Europeans.
Based on these arguments something like Sebi (art piece) shouldn’t have gone to the final yet it was Top 5 with public
People had doubts even with Manizha or Go_A last year.
Public is more smart and ahead than what we think
The difference was the songs you mention were full of melody and connected to audiences emotionally. Sebi’s song was deeply melancholic and the pair’s powerful chemistry made the song. Manizha’s goosebump inducing choral moment, with a high energy call to power. Go_A and their melodic gentle flute solo contrasting with a classic techno drop. Konstrakta’s song lacks such power in my opinion as it was performed which could be changed. I find her song purposefully monotone, and theatrically staccato. That’s not a bad thing. I could easily see it on a musical theatre stage, cabaret stage, but I don’t know… Read more »
??
And I hope they won’t.
This is quite weird, i have no idea what is this song about but i’m digging lol. Very original and she has a great tone.
What a weird year. Usually most of the countries try to win, but this time competition for the last place is stacked. I’ll probably make bottom 10 instead. I mean, whatever to enjoy eurovision.
I can understand why the fandom is liking this, but part of me gets Portugal’s Telemoveis vibes from this—loved in the country and with Eurovision fans and on the night just comes across as a big WTF moment with regular viewers. What is happening this Eurovision season—everyone is trying to outweird each other. A lady washing her hands, a song about salad, masked singers, wolves singing about bananas—this whole season feels like a giant step back to 2008 when we had people hanging laundry, a singing turkey, pirates and Leto Svet.
I wouldn’t put Bosnia 2008 next to Ireland or Estonia
Agree… what a comparison…
Don’t forget about the Elvis-like guy with the toy guitar … 😉
This is the kind of song that people are either going to love or going to hate; there’s no middle ground with this song. I think some memorable staging should help its chances, and honestly the staging doesn’t need to change all that much from the national final to Eurovision. Personally, I got major Laurie Anderson vibes when I was listening to this song for the first time. If you’re not familiar with who Laurie Anderson is, she’s an experimental and avant-garde musician who’s always been quite left-of-center musically and is regarded as innovator in style as well as the… Read more »
The whole artistic approach lacks of clearness and depth (on the contrary see Loreen’s ‘Statements’ in MF 2017). So, it just looks cringey af! Also, the song itself is boring.
Thank you so much Serbia! Konstrakta was my Dark Horse in the competition.
Wow! I’m so… speechless. Really I don’t know what to say. I think I wouldn’t listen to this song on my spotify, but I think the performance is really intriguing and outstanding.
Get out more
This song is not for me, but I do appreciate the risk Serbia is taking.
In Corporo Sano kinda reminds me of Hvala Ne (Slovenia 2018). Hvala Ne was also a risky song, one which was rewarded with a spot in the finale. Just like Hvala Ne, I think In Corporo Sano will make it to the final.
Hvale Ne sounds nothing like this Serbian entry!
It’s already trending in so many countries in YouTube. Including Germany, Norway or Sweden.
It’s happening yes. So glad for Serbia for going for what they really feel and love in the moment
trending because of Serbian diaspora, it happens all the time lol. It means nothing.
since this won i have probably listened to it at least 200 times. so addictive and so refreshing, i’m a konstrakta stan now
Yasss we stan Konstrakta
Aaah, this is the energy I need!
