Montenegro Vladana Breathe Eurovision 2022 rehearsal

The Eurovision 2022 second rehearsals are going at such a rate that we’ve barely had time to catch our breath. But never mind, next it was the turn of Montenegro’s Vladana with “Breathe”. How did the entry look on stage? Let’s find out…

Montenegro’s Vladana “Breathe” — Eurovision 2022 second rehearsal

Padraig: Vladana has brought a prop that’s never been seen before on the Eurovision stage – a large disc of lights that’s strapped to her back. The lights are also present on her bustier. Think of a peacock with a tail made of fairy lights. The singer wears a blu gown and in contrast to rehearsal one, she’s now wearing her hair in an updo. The lighting matches her dress. Vladana remains static throughout the entire three minutes, singing from the satellite stage. “Breathe” is clearly a very emotional song with a deeply emotional meaning for the singer. The delegation played around with lighting levels throughout all three takes. But, in its current guise, this entry is a bit of a non-event.

On the “bright” side the disc could block out the rainbow of death with good camera shots

Someone should tell Vladana there is a disc behind her, but to not turn around too quickly or she might slip a disk. Maybe I should put the next disc in the player. Life is a disc that spins. Yeah, this will run and run. I’m all in a spin.

On the bright side, if this song does not qualify, all the other delegations will be bidding to buy the prop in order to mask that eyesore of a broken sun stage!

Today I discovered what a diamond of a song Montenegro’s entry is! Sweden, Poland and Greece have obviously been promoted right, left and centre – whereas a beautiful entry like this goes almost unnoticed. Is it just me?

No, it’s not just you. Sadly Vladana did not sell the song very well in Amsterdam but fingers crossed it will all work out on Thursday. Perhaps it will come across better on TV.

When the song was released, I had high hopes for a spot in the final. Not anymore….

The music video felt very epic and this feels very quiet. I don’t know. She clearly is an amazing singer. I’m also not a huge fan of these face jewels so many performers throw on—I find them distracting.

Agree, face jewels are not a plus for the wearers…

Not even D-Mol brought Montenegro to the last place, honestly it would be a shame if this does worse than “Heaven”…

Maybe it’ll be 17th if Serbia and N. Macedonia vote for it

That was a Weird part of the song they presented to us. But I guess they wanted to show Vladana’s sun. I wanted to actually hear her singing the high parts of the song as those Did not sound good at the preparaties. Vladana looks beautiful, the dress is very nice too. Hope she nailed the vocals too. Good luck, Montenegro! Hope to see you in the finals.

I like this song more than most and love the peacock dress effect. She sounds good here but I don’t want to get too excited as this was a weird part of the song to have as the clip. It doesn’t tell me too much.

It’s a shame that Vladana is my 18th place out of 40 in total after the rehearsals but only comes 11th in my personal 2nd semi-final top… I cannot stand that this is happening. :’))

I dunno. Montenegro has always struck me as a sleeper hit this year, at least for the jury. It reminds me a lot of Proud and I don’t recall most fans buzzing about that one either.

I really want Montenegro to qualify, but I just don’t think it will happen.
