Malta continues the hunt for its Eurovision 2024 representative. The country is the first to begin its national selection for Malmö, with semi-final 3 of Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 taking place on Friday evening.
Out of the 36 competing acts, nine shared their songs during semi-final 3. This took place within Maltese TV show XOW, between 21:00-23:00 CET.
Voting opened once all nine acts had performed, but the results won’t be revealed until after all four semi-finals have taken place. In total, 12 acts will progress to the grand final in January 2024.
But that doesn’t stop us from asking for your opinions. Following all the song presentations, we’ll open a poll below so you can let us know who stood out in semi-final 3 of MESC 2024.

Poll: Who had the best song in semi-final 3 of Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024?
You can vote for as many acts as you want, but you can only vote once.
Who was your favourite? Which acts from semi-final 3 do you think will make it to the grand final? Share all your thoughts in the comments below.
Feather flight is the best !
Loop remains my top no 1
Karin and Miguel had the best songs but, Michaela might be the best singer. Dan’s is, once again, just harmless niceness. The other songs didn’t do much for me.
Breaking bad sounds like 8 songs at once!
With good revamp for Breaking Bad it could potentially qualify to the Eurovision final.
Hello, a question :
The 12 finalists are from each SF (3 qualified by SF) or not ?
In my understanding the final will consist of the 12 artists and songs with most points from the 36 overall.
So there’s a chance there might be an unequal distribution of qualifiers from the semi finals like the majority finalists could be from one semifinal, and there could be no qualifiers from another. I will not listen to any of the songs in full because I don’t wanna get attached to a song that wasn’t gonna make the final, not that there’s much to latch onto anyway.
Ok thanks !
I am sorry but I don ‘t like any of the songs.
Idk whether I am just deaf or that the video quality is just terrible, but am I the only one who thinks Miguel can’t sing?
I think he can, but his high vocal register in the last 30 seconds comes out of nowhere and clashes with the melody of the song. The song is good for the first two minutes, but the ending needs a serious revamp.
I would have ate up some of the songs here but the live performance are just bad to say the least. Most of them seem to be flat when singing and feels out of place when performing alone and they need to work of their camera angles.
This looks like a school talent show that actual tv show.
I have a hunch of Miguel winning just like I did with the Buskers.
MESC seems to be getting better every year
We still have MATT BLXCK and Ryan Hili in Semi 4, hopefully they got great songs, so far it doesn’t seem like there’s a clear favorite in the selection, it’s very open since we don’t even have any finalists yet.5
I liked Moira best tonight. “Breaking Bad” got my attention too, but it was a nutty mix of good, bad and campy (bird screeches and flutes!).
Stefan shocked me! stand out of the night
I thought I would snooze and then Karin Duff came along with a banger that I thought Malta would never come up with. THANK YOU MALTA for Breaking Bad. Moira stafrace was ok, but not a winner imo.
Miguel!
Karin Duff for the win
It´s a crazy musical mess and I like it.
Ready for take-off, “Feather Flight”?
Grazzi Malta <3
I *loved* Moira’s “Feather Flight”!!!
that’s so funny, I actually placed this second to last so far. personally, i don’t think i’m going to remember it after today haha
Amazing artists competing with awful entries again.. What’s Malta’s obsession with the early 2010s?
The Swedes emptying their drawers (don’t get me wrong, I’m sweden fanatic all the way).
The thing is when it comes to the maltase songs the production never matched the mood of the actual lyrics so I think they bought the instrumental and based the lyrics on it. This is why you get the most iconic lyrics and questionable ones.
Miguel reminds me of Gabrielius of Lithuania.
We’re halfway through, and frankly, this is by FAR my favorite semi-final. Each song makes more impressed, personally. And the vocals and charisma is much higher than the previous semis. Good for you Malta!
Go Malta!!
