The first major pre-party of the Eurovision 2024 season has now come and gone. Over the past two days nearly 30 competing Eurovision acts worked the red carpet and the stage at Eurovision-Spain’s PrePartyES in Madrid. There were interviews and amazing outfits and more than twenty incredible live performances.

So we have to ask: Who gave the best live performance in Madrid? You can watch most of the live performances in our playlist below. Then vote for your favourites. You can vote for as many artists as you’d like, but you can only vote one time. So click the box next to each act you want to support before hitting VOTE.

PrePartyES 2024 in Madrid: All live performances

Please note: We do not have performances from Norway or Germany in our playlist. Norway’s Gåte ended performing “live on tape” — so organisers just aired a pre-recorded performance. Germany’s Isaak is also missing. We uploaded his performance, but his record label has blocked it globally.

Also: Georgia’s Nutsa Buzaladze is not in our poll. Rather than performing her Eurovision song “Firefighter,” she chose to perform a cover of Christina Aguilera’s “Hurt.” This was in honour of her brother who passed away last week. It was a touching performance and moving tribute that showcased her strength, resilience and the love she shared for her sibling.

Poll: Who gave the best live performance at the PrePartyES 2024 in Madrid?

Switzerland, really? People have very low standards if they think this is a winner, it’s all over the place with too many disparate styles. Compare this to Bambi Thug who manages to connect the different styles of their song perfectly, Nemo does not. I also think they’re trying to use their non binary label as an attention seeking gimmick.

I am so happy to see that my favourite (Switzerland) actually sounded very good life.
But I am quite surprised to see Austria that low. My friends who attended La Riviera said that she was one of the best, people got crazy with her, something I honestly did not expect either.

Just a general response to a lot of people who have said some rude and derogatory comments about Nemo and non binary people as a whole, it never hurts to be compassionate and respectful to people. Let’s spread love and positivity instead.

In terms of Eurovision itself, Greece for the win. But will also root for Italy and Norway. 🙂

I don’t understand why. Many more songs have double the views than nemo and likes. The song is good but it’s not THE winner vibe.
His social media has low numbers and he’s yet to make any impacts on the charts or Spotify like Joost, mango or Marko. All highly confusing.

Give me one song with winner vibes this year? All of that is clearly just a matter of taste of course. Personnally, The Code is the only song that made me think it could win at the first listen. But this year is very open as none of the songs completely outshine the rest of the competition.

Personnally, The Code is the only song that made me think it could win at the first listen.

Well it did NOT rise straight to the top of any odds, scoreboards or polls when people first listened to it. Its taken some time for people to warm up, unlike other songs currently at the top (like people freaking loved Croatia before it had even won in Dora, people loved the name when it was still a reserve even).

It happened to me as well, but I really doubted about how it would sound life, because it is such a difficult song… Now, we heard it life, it sounds perfectly, so it is a big contender to win.
The other big option is Croatia, but honestly, it would be to me like a second-hand Kaarija winning, only less original (in English), I never liked that.

I agree It’ll be a second third combo that wins him it. I think it’s only Joost now that will stop that victory. Amsterdam April 13th will tell us a story and last in the second semi. Those are the two moments that may change the Swiss tide now.

Hi. I would just like to make it clear that while the term non-binary itself might be relatively new, the concept of gender fluidity and non conforming people have existed for a very long time, and have been misrepresented and kept less visible by Western society for decades due to ignorance and violence. You are being part of the problem by labelling people “freaks”. You ask where these people were 20/30 years ago fighting for gay and queer rights? It was trans and gender non conforming people leading the fight. Even if you do necessarily understand or even choose not… Read more »

I think that he is very good vocally and that people expect a good staging for them, since they have a team that delivered in the past. That explains the odds, but I feel that can be dangerous, because now the expectations are very high.

I have two opinions about that ballerina outfit. If we are just talking about the song and him as an artist, he should do whatever he feels like, to express himself and what he stands for. Totally with him, 100%. When it comes to the contest, there needs to be a balance so he gets votes from a wide audience. It’s all about balance and there’s nothing wrong with that. There are many ways to show you are gender-fluid or neutral. Otherwise, everyone must be free to express themselves in the way that feels natural. I am rooting for Switzerland,… Read more »

I admit Marko is a huge threat for my own faves yes, hence why i’ve been trying to bring him down a little

But yes honestly it is good song with very lovely ethnic traditional outfits

I’m sorry, but Marco tore down the roof! Did you see how the crowd reacted to the song? They were singing along! He didn’t even need to sing but you could tell he definitely improved! And then his gritty acapella version of the chorus at the end shows how he is masterfully on his well to winning! By Malmo the heads will roll in his favour!

a very very mild one, if u can think of hurricane as a masterpiece, you definitely need a hearing aid lol and i also can easily copy and paste hebrew lyrics to any song, doesn’t make the song suddenly become authentic or ethnic haha, those hebrew lyrics add nothing, nada to that basic ballad

By the way, Israel received an invitation to all the parties this year, but the Israeli delegation decided that it was better to keep the surprise, like Noa did last year. It definitely helped Noa. 2nd in the juries, 3rd overall LOL

The surprise you’re referring to is security precautions for an israeli-ruzzian singer, but the real surprise is coming in Malmö, I agree.

i’m sure most who like Eden’s song are israeli people themselves 😉 and you can’t vote for your own country

a normal sane person elsewhere in europe will hear this is just a mediocre been there done that million times before ballad, nothing special about it at all

the best scenario for the contest would be Israel to safely NQ, rather than jeopardizing the grand final with their presence, no israeli delegation at the final, pretty sure there would be no more threats

Watch the reaction videos from around the world 🙂 and even Pro palestinian swedish blogger posted that “the Israeli song is the best this year, and I can’t stand it, they are gonna win, and it’s pisses me off, you don’t even know how much we hate Israel in Sweden”.

Imagine calling Eden better than all artists invited to this pre-party because her delegation team doesn’t allow her to enjoy her Eurovision experience properly.

Otto

The movements in the odds are probably a more realistic view on how the artists performed instead of this poll..
Let’s see what happens there the coming days.

The funniest thing is that up until this year Israel used to host one of the biggest pre parties of the contest with huge attendance from the participating countries. Nobody couldn’t care less about the Palestinians. All this hate is a trend and as every trend it will not last.
