The wildcard was a plot twist I didn’t see coming. Did the complaints about what happened in heats 3 and 4 got to the organizers and this was to right the wrongs?

Most likely. The backslash in the media was massive. They tried to mask it with “according to the rules of the selection, the national broadcaster has a right to bring back two disqualified participants”. But I’m pretty much sure they did that because all the negative publicity.

Yeah, that’s what I figured. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wildcard qualifier for Lithuania in the last few years I’ve been following national finals, so this “rule” that you just quoted feels like something they just made up on the spot in order to rectify the jury mistakes from earlier heats. Maybe the rules will change next year, where the televoters actually be the tiebreaker instead of the jury.

That rule actually is in the list of national selection rules:
25. The competition organiser has a right, but must not, to give an opportunity for a disqualified perfomer to come back to the contest.

Not Ieva!? Ok…
So we have the full lineup now, and I think my winner is definetely Gebrasy.
Answer in one week, all goes so quickly, this month is so packed!

I like “Drobe”. It’s unique and memorable although I guess not everyone’s cup of tea. And omg Liepa got a wild card for the final! Now rethink the live performance because “Ar myletum” is my favourite for Lithuania this year.

Before this heat, only Black Biceps caught my interest. This heat finally added another entry to the list of entries from Eurovizija.LT I like.

Lion Ceccah FTW.

Yeah, I’m not surprised. Now I can do my top ten of the finalists and then provide an honorable mentions list of the my favorite songs that didn’t make it through (RIP Tai kur namai and Ar myl?tum?)

Really? Now I didn’t see that coming, but it does make me happy to see Liepa get a second chance. I guess the complaints must have gotten to the organizers.

It was a bad bad bad semifinal. I pretty much liked only Sun Francisco. But it’s definitely not for Eurovision, just for a pleasant listening at home.

Drobe was the only song this semi I liked in studio. The staging a little weird and kind of stationary, but it works somehow. His vocals are flawless. If this isn’t in the final idk what lithuanians are doing

That’s my feeling too. But I don’t think it will matter who goes through tonight. I think the Lithuanian public will go behind Kataris next week.

Who will be the last two finalists tonight for next week’s final? Will they strengthen the final or lay an easier path for Kataris to take the crown? Find out tonight.
