Good afternoon, Europe, Tirana calling! We are thrilled to announce that Albania’s Eurovision 2025 entrant Shkodra Elektronike our the first act confirmed for this year’s London Eurovision Party. They will bring their modern Balkan entry “Zjerm” to the stage at Here At Outernet on Sunday April 13th in The UK’s capital.
“Zjerm” was the first song chosen for the 2025 contest in Basel, and we’re so excited to see Shkodra Elektronike perform for their fans soon.
Who are Shkodra Elektronike?
Shkodra Elektronike are an Albanian duo made up of singer-songwriter Beatriçe Gjergji and producer Kolë Laca, from Shkodër in the north of the Balkan nation. They entered the 63rd edition of the Albanian national selection Festivali i Këngës, and won with 143 points, beating a big fan-favourite Elvana Gjata in the process.
Their entry combines the traditional music of Shkodër with modern electronic elements, hence the name of their band. You can hear the traditional elements throughout ‘Zjerm’ with energetic and at-times dark tones mixed in. The title of the song translates to ‘Fire’ and is about the passion and ferocity longing for compassion and a world free from violence. It talks about wanting dignity for marginalised people. You can hear the fire and ice in the song, with the two member’s differing style in vocals.
They have been drawn to perform in the second half of the first semi final on Tuesday 13th May 2025.
We are filled with anticipation to hear this excellent song live, one that many Eurovision fans are calling their favourite of the season so far.
What is the London Eurovision Party 2025?
The London Eurovision Party is the biggest annual Eurovision event in the United Kingdom. It is also one of the biggest and most classic shows on the Eurovision pre-party tour. It’s been going from strength to strength over the years, and this year it celebrates it’s Sweet Sixteen edition in style at Here at Outernet in the UK capital, on April 13th.
Here at Outernet is a large concert venue right in the beating heart of London, known for it’s artistic styling and modern spaces. The London Eurovision Party will provide an excellent chance for a British audience to see their favourite acts before the contest itself. You can expect to see many more announcements coming very soon of 2025 acts, and past Eurovision favourites.
They are great, but not the winner.
I kinda think they’re a bit of a dark horse for Albania’s best ever result!
Totally agree
I can clearly see Al ba nia climbing the odds once the pre-ESC parties start.
So can I.
Shndrit, shndrit, shndrit!!!
Still the song to beat to date
I agree with you it’s certainly one of the best we have so far! For me Finland and Latvia are up there for me too.
The only song truly worth attention is “Espresso Macchiato” at the moment, so what’s the point in attending these?
