Since expressing his interest in hosting Eurovision in Stockholm next May, Måns Zelmerlöw has been a hot favorite to present the show both with the bookies, who immediately named him the favourite, and with our readers, who placed him second behind Petra Mede in our poll. Rumours have also suggested that Sanna Nielsen and Gina Dirawi are in the mix.
But is Måns Zelmerlöw really going to host Eurovision next May in Stockholm? According to the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet SVT is nearly finished brokering a deal with Måns. They only have to work out some minor formalities at this point. He will reportedly not have a minor role such as hosting the green room or acting as a special guest. It’s still unknown if he will be the only presenter or if he will be accompanied by a co-host.
We can assure you that Måns is a very experienced host: he already hosted Melodifestivalen back in 2010 and Lila Melodifestivalen in 2007, and was a regular host on Allsång på Skansen from 2011 to 2013. We’re sure a lot of you are breathing a sigh of relief since a lot of us don’t want another inexperienced former Eurovision winner as a host…

Vienna was a disaster as far as the hosting department was concerned. I think Måns should host it alone……like they say, too many cooks can spoil the broth!

I dont care about the host. My only wish is that ESC 2016 is soon over and we are going somewhere else than Scandinavia or Soviet Union in 2017.
But political block partner jurors will again try to best to kill an overall beloved act and to facilitate the Scando-Russian vision once again.
I could see Mans doing it with Gina and SDF,
Or Eric, Loreen and Sanna (just for SVT to show off how well Sweden does in ESC)

I wouldnt have a problem with Mans hosting, but as Robyn said below, he does need a co-host. Him and Sanna Nielson would make a great pairing.
I think Mans interval act song in the final will be Kingdom in the Sky 🙂

He doesn’t scream ‘charisma’ at me but I guess if he really is hosting it we’ll just have to wait and see

Well this was really expected…Mans would most probably get chosen by SVT 4 being the host of the Vision 2016..
Now we wait to find out if Mans will be alone by himself as main presenter in hosting or will be joined by other(s) co hosts as well..
