Albania to select their JESC 2016 entry tonight at “Festivali i Këngës për Fëmijë”

Post Eurovision depression may be setting in, but fear not! The race to win Junior Eurovision 2016 is heating up, as Albania will stage its JESC selection tonight. Albania will use Festivali i Këngës për Fëmijë — the traditional song contest for children — to select their 2016 entry. This year will be the 52nd edition and will be held at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in the nation’s capital, Tirana.

Fourteen contestants will compete but only one will win Festivali i Këngës për Fëmijë and represent Albania in the upcoming 2016 Junior Eurovision in Malta.

HOW TO WATCH FESTIVALI I 52 TË KËNGËS PËR FËMIJË

The show kicks off at 18:00 CET. You’ll be able to watch it on the RTSH official live stream, or the Junioreurovision.tv official live stream.

We’ll be seeing some Junior Eurovision royalty tonight, including last year’s Albanian JESC representative Mishela Rapo and the winner of JESC 2015 Destiny Chukunyere.

Last year, Mishela Rapo represented Albania with Dambaje. Mishela reached 5th place with 93 points.
