German band Elaiza released their video for “Is It Right”, and it begs an answer. Unfortunately for the girls, we fear the response is not positive.

Perhaps the strongest quality of the video is that it showcases the studio version, which is an improvement over the live performance at USFD. However, the presence of the mime is unnecessary – maybe he’s trying to distract our attention from the dull song? The fact that he literally mimics what the girls are singing about is not helping much. Surely they could have thought a better concept for the video? At least they could have taken a cue from the lyrics, which are decent.

But hey. At least the girls look cute, in a hipster chic kind of way. We especially dig lead singer Ela’s dress. Nice styling! Too bad Elaiza missed their chance to win the Eurovision Next Top Model title. Too late, girls…

Anyway, this is our take. What do you make of Elaiza’s video? Will it help or blow their chances to score high on the night of the Grand Final? Sound off below!

I don’t like the video that much. But I do like the live performance of Elaiza. It was very convincing to me.

Ditto. The mime literally acts out half the words and has no clue for the other half, while completely avoiding any hint of meaning. Apart from putting the studio version in circulation, this video will have no impact.

Ok girls, just go on stage with your nice clothes and instruments and do your thing. NO CLOWNS!

The live performance was unconvincing for me, but I like the video. The song seems much better, quite nice.

Mime could’ve done something more. Thought he was gonna go for one of the group’s members – could’ve been a better story. Instead, the mime just seems random. I still like the song, one of my favorites in the contest.

The mime is a bit annoying during the chorus, but overall, I thought it was a decent video. Definitely better than the rubbish from Romania and Begium.
