ZDF, one of the most popular German-language TV broadcasters, really has a heart for children. That’s why it regularly gives kids a chance to ask questions on shows such as ZDF-tivi. The young but talented Lukas recently had the honour to interview Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst. Completely comitted to his questions, Lukas asked the diva “What was the first article of female clothing you sewn?” and “What kind of music do you like to listen to?” Conchita, who looked ravishing in a short skirt and heals, loved his line of questioning and responded to every question. She answered: “My first female clothing article was a skirt for my granny… I hope she still has it” and “I really like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and of course the German Eurovision winner Lena.” Smart woman…

What does a child ask the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest? Apparently questions that are more interesting and engaging than some grown journalists.

Watch the full interview in German here.

Any chance at all we could get some English subtitles, Patrick? Would really love to show this to my non-German speaking kids!

Wish we could get this with English subtitles or a complete translation. It looks like one of the most interesting interviews, as he’s obviously asking questions nobody else is asking (yep, it takes a child to get down to the important stuff rather than the same old same old questions about the beard). And, even if I didn’t understand much of it, love the way she relates to him. Treats him like a person with a brain and not a little boy who needs to be talked down to. Oh, and yes, she’s wearing one of my favorite outfits here.… Read more »

She was asked what the first article of clothing was that she made – A skirt for her grandma. (Possibly the thing the article says is also true, but that was not said in this video) Correct me if I’m wrong.
