At Eurovision 2010, Eva Rivas’s “Apricot Stone” didn’t bear fruit and she finished in seventh place. But that didn’t stop her from telling reporters shortly afterwards that she’d like Armenia to give her a second chance.

Speaking with Armenian Public Television, the Angelina Jolie look-a-like said she was hungry for a comeback. “There is still some feeling of dissatisfaction with the place that we got,” she said at the time. “So I’d like to return there to get a victory for Armenia in 2012.”

It’s still unclear if Armenia will even participate in Eurovision 2012 because it’s being staged in Azerbaijan, with whom Armenia is still waging a decades-old conflict. Armenian officials have repeatedly said that they would fear for the safety of their contestant if they participate.

Rivas’ track record at predicting the future isn’t exactly stellar. In that same interview she said that her performance would give Armenia the momentum to win in 2011. As we all know now, Emmy got eliminated in the semi-finals.

Anyway, what do y’all think? Would you be happy to see Eva in Baku?
