Although Ace Wilder finished as runner-up at Melodifestivalen, she may just be this year’s biggest winner. “I came from nowhere and I came second place,” she says. “I’m just proud and happy.”

She’s also sassy and sweet, and knows how to appeal to grown men and young children. Surely that makes her a force to be reckoned with in the years ahead—both on the charts and at Melodifestivalen. Will she be back next year? “Perhaps,” she says. “Who knows.”

Despite displaying some major sass and swagger on stage, she still had the butterflies like she did in the semis.”I was just as nervous,” she says. “It was a different kind of nervousness. I didn’t want to forget the lyrics or look into the wrong camera.”

As the points rolled in Ace looked calm and collected, but she says that her mind went blank: “I wasn’t thinking anything. But I was praying that I would get some points. Please, don’t let me come last!”

Well, to a lot of our readers you’re still tops. Congratulations on a great show! xoxo

Ace Wilder will return for sure. All artists that they have a near win(finish 2nd-3rd) at Melodifestivalen they return the next or the following year. So Ace come back and WIN the whole thing

She doesn’t need to come back to Melodifestivalen, and she probably shouldn’t. I agree that it would be really hard to top her exceptional song from this year. Besides, she just hit #1 on Sweden’s singles chart – she might as well use this single as a launching pad for her career instead of concentrating on Eurovision-related endeavors.

We could be a surprised by a comeback from her, but I see her as trying the same trick again. Though arguably Sanna did too.. who knows 😛 Would be cool to see her back.

As much as I love Ace and her song, I don’t want her coming back. “Busy Doin’ Nothin'” is an awesome song and if she came back, I doubt she can bring a stronger song. We will have to see, though. Her repertoire has some other great songs (like “B!tches Like Fridays” and “Do It”) and maybe she can pull off another one. But like so many returnees, we will all remember her for this song and will probably be disappointed with a second attempt that doesn’t overshadow “Busy Doin’ Nothin'”.

She’s so nice and down to earth, I really like her more since I’ve seen these interviews 😀 I do hope she comes back in a future year, not sure if NEXT year, but in the future, just with a good song, I wouldn’t like her to flop like Anton or Yohio on their second attempt 😛

SVT sees long-term potential and ratings boost by bringing Ace back next year. They wanted Sanna to stop entering. Rigged. hello #melfestrobotgate

Well done Ace! You did very well. Good luck to you and Sanna. She has persisted – and you nearly took her prize away from her. I am sure we will see you back again. Sweden has an amazing music scene – maybe other countries should have a good look at what is happening there.
