After winning the Eurovision trophy in Kyiv, Helena Paparizou embarked on a super successful career in both Greece and Sweden. Last year she tried to represent the latter with “Survivor”, our readers’ favourite entry of Melodifestivalen 2014. She didn’t manage to beat Sanna Nielsen, but no matter. Helena will be at the final of Eurovision 2015 announcing the Greek vote! By choosing Helena officials have bypassed last year’s act Freaky Fortune. Looks like they want to put that 20th place behind them…
Andrianna Maggania has been a frequent spokesperson for Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest but will be replaced in May by Helena.

Helena Paparizou last appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest as the interval act during the 2006 Grand Final performing her single ‘Mambo’ and represented Greece twice in 2005 and 2001. 2015 marks ten years since her victory in Kiev.
Maria Elena Kyriakou will represent Greece in the Semi Final 1 of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with ‘One Last Breath’ on May 19.
