In 2015 Nina Sublatti battled a billowing cloud of smoke. In 2016 Nika Kocharov threw down psychedelic realness. And both of them took Georgia to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Now Georgia’s national broadcaster GPB is keen to make sure they can make the final for a third year in a row. Clearly eager to gage public reaction to their songs, they released the names of the 28 Eurovision 2017 hopefuls last week. And on December 13 they released the actual songs, sending our comments section into overdrive as fans reacted to the numbers, using adjectives from “interesting” to “fun” to “tragic”. But don’t worry: Regardless of the ultimate result, we’re sure Georgia will force a revamp of the winning song.
Ancho Dolidze, Natia Bidzinashvili and Ani Kekua have left the contest. But we’re still left with a very long playlist of songs. GPB hasn’t made their decision on who will compete in the national final, so this is your chance to let YOUR voice be heard and potentially influence the set list. At the final itself, the winner will be determined by a 60% jury, 40% televote split. Yes, Georgia wants to professionalize!

I also really really love The Song of Love and You Are My Sunshine, I'm so glad my favourite ESC country have a lot of good songs this year.
Why to many singers sounds like american singers? The world need to discover nice ethnic songs… Globalization kills humanity! I spent a long time to hear all the singers, a few sounds georgian and very nice ! Arnaud from France

Alisa Danelia my favorite “We Are Eternity”
Alisa Danelia my favorite song “We Are Eternity”
How lame! These finalists are much better than Eesti Laul’s collection for 2017!!
As I understand, there are quite a lot of celebrities participating here and have listened to nearly all of the artists, but I consider “Urban Signs” of EOS clearly distinctive from the others, so energetic and powerful, though “Stranger” of Sabina Chantoura is also great. Both of the songs are hit singles imao
I hope we’ll be able to see Wiwi-team favourites from this and estonian selections.
i vote for dima kobeshavidze <3 <3
Malibu sounds like I’m a round table! Girl, If you don’t know English you better sing in your own language!
The other songs sound so weird too!
I voted for Mariko but
I think that Nina was the best contenstant so far!
Me Da Shen is absolutely a jam, loved it at first listen 😀
Fly by Mariam Chachkhiani needs a good revamp and that song will def smash up there. The Mins – very interesting!!!
This selection probably has the most mixed feelings on songs we’ve ever had!
SPARKLE on the top
This has a very good chance if the choose it
come on georgia get it right for once,
Tako sounds promising
Urban Signs and Magic are my favorite. Dear God and Keep the Faith are pretty great too.
Georgia’s selection for 2017 brings us a lot of variety. The few things that will give some songs a lead over others is the music taste of the voters and juries, the vastness of the Eurovision stage vs. an individual’s playlist, and the overall energy and atmosphere of the song. There are quite a few songs here that would be interesting to see on the Eurovision stage. I’m thinking of ‘Nature’ and ‘You Are My Sunshine’, which lean towards very niche audiences. As a song meant to be listened to in any other context than Eurovision, they’re fine as they… Read more »
Credit to the Georgian musicians – there is some good music here. I have no idea who’s going to do well; it’s simply a matter of taste really. For example, I really like Group Asea Sool’s “Nature” even though it’s not well-suited for Eurovision – it’s just so refreshingly different!
Probably “Fighter” will do well. But let’s see…
i was kind of going for white horses run / light it up / we are eternity / song of love / maliibu and like these are the obvious favorites
but then i listened to you are my sunshine and…. wow
could not fit my music taste better
I love Me Da shen. I love the vibe and it reminds me of Navi from Belarus.
It’s magical final , historical final . Alisa Danelia We are eternity, very nice.
My favourites here ‘Fighter’, then ‘Revolutionise’ and ‘White Horses Run’ – both decent and practicaly #1 for me but same time they scream for being revamped.
I’d include also ‘Dear God’ and ‘We Live Once’ but both quite pessimistic (tho still fine).
And of course, the guilty pleasure – caucassus ethnojump ‘Me Da Shen’ and weirdest ‘You Are My Sunshine’! -behold-
The question is a bit unclear… what does “Who should make Georgia’s national final for Eurovision 2017?” mean?
SPARKLE IS THE BEST AND ITS MY FAVORITE
I just tried to check full version of Tornike Kipiani’s weirdo and trapped onto his rock cover of Kylie’s hit with labial harmony… dear lord.

How did this happen?? Last I saw white horses run was leading and now a pathetic song is on top? How did 800 votes come in in no time?
I believe Bithard and Avol Waves has been changed to Light It Up. Makes a lot more sense now! ????
Unfair!! If you wonder what are Andria and Oto doing on the top it’s because they posted about poll on FB.
