In the six weeks since we launched our prediction polls, Wiwi’s readers have cast a total of 13,352 votes to to determine who will win the first and second semi-finals at ESC 2012. In our second update, we see that Greece’s Eleftheria Eleftheriou, Cyprus’ Ivi Adamou, Sweden’s Loreen and Serbia’s Zeljko Jokismovic remain the favorites to win. Let’s review the results.
First Semi-Final
In the first semi-final, there have been a total of 6,753 votes cast thus far. Greece’s Eleftheria Eleftheriou remains on top with her song “Aphrodisiac.” The Cypriot-born singer currently has 15% of all votes. Cyprus’ Ivi Adamou (“La La Love”), who competed against Eleftheria on Greek X-Factor, has made impressive gains in recent weeks and jumped from third position to second. She has 12.5% of the vote. Romania’s Mandinga (“Zaleilah”), who have done well working the p.r. circuit, now find themselves in third position with 11% of the vote. They were fifth the last time we checked in. The rise of Cyprus and Romania has bumped Montenegro’s Rambo Amadeus (“Euro Neuro”) down to fourth, from second place last time. And Jedward (“Waterline”) have fallen to fifth from fourth place in mid-April.
Only four acts have earned fewer than 100 votes. They are Austria’s Trackshittaz (“Woki mit deim Popo”), Belgium’s Iris (“Would You?”), Moldova’s Pasha Parfeny (“Lautar”), and San Marino’s Valentina Monetta (“The Social Network”). Here are the complete standings, as of 8am GMT on April 29.

Turkey’s Can Bonomo (“Love Me Back”) and Norway’s Tooji (“Stay”) round out the Top 5, just as they did in mid-April. Georgia’s Anri Jokhadze (“I’m a Jocker”) is wowing Wiwi for all the wrong reasons. Eurovision has become a huge desaster. Eurovision lost “Euro” long time ago. Bring Eurovision back to Europe. Bring it back to glamour. Stop trash songs and forget about bantustani rythms. Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Israel, Morroco and other non-European countries shouldn’t participate. They can have Asiavision with Pakistan and India and Saudi Arabia.
Eurovision should stand for freedom, democracy, equality and European values. Something these countries will NEVER HAVE!
Make Eurovision European again! Bring it home and forget Asia and the Middle East.
Love to all Europeans!
