Sweden’s Loreen and Romania’s Mandinga remain the favorites in our poll “Who Will Win Eurovision 2012?” Launched on March 25, the poll has recorded 16,812 votes as of May 20. Loreen (“Euphoria”) currently leads with 2,542 votes. That’s 278 more than more than Mandinga (“Zaleilah”). Last week Sweden led Romania by just 147 votes, so the gap is widening. In third place is Serbia’s Joksimovic (“Love Is Not a Thing”) with 1,184 votes. Greece’s Eleftheria Eleftheriou (“Aphrodisiac”) is the only other contestant with more than 1,000 votes. She’s in fourth with 1,009.
Cyprus’ Ivi Adamou (“La La Love”) is in fifth position with 985 votes. She also trails Greece’s Eleftheria Eleftheriou in our ongoing Eurovision Death Match poll, which directly compares these Cypriot-born beauties.
Albania’s Rona Nishliu—the really smart one who gave WiwiBloggs.Com a fantastic interview at Eurovision in Concert—is holding steady in sixth place with 830 votes. That’s sure to go up following her fantastic rehearsals at Eurovision. She also finished in second place with the Wiwi Jury. Ireland’s Jedward (“Waterline”) have climbed up from eighth position last week to seventh today. They passed Turkey’s Can Bonomo (“Love Me Back”). The Big 5 round out the top ten. Britain’s Engelbert Humperdinck is in ninth and Spain’s Pastora Soler sits in 10th. You can vote for your favorite Big 5 contestant in our separate poll by clicking here.

This is The NIGHT for MALTA, though just a tiny country but with so much Music and dancing talent around, KURT sex appeal and his stage act is a delight to watch! VIVA MALTA; VIVA MALTIN!
I really like the songs of Sweden, Serbia, Italy an Germany. I also like the acts of the United Kingdom, Malta, Denmark and Ireland (because they are funny, they not singing good but..it’s a nice act). I think Turkey is very populair. The act with the boot is ok. But it’s not a good song. Sweden should win this contest. It’s very original and Loreen is a great singer and dancer. I would buy a album if that’s available in the Netherlands! It’s a shame The Netherlands didn’t make it to the final. But Joan was too nervous. And didn’t… Read more »
loreen doesnt deserve to win..there are a lot of other songs waaaay better that hers…
if russia will win i wont watch esc again 😐
zeljko joksimovic will get 12 points from bosnia, that’s for sure. song is just great and all three ethnicities (bosniak, serb, croat) will vote for it. another plus is that he sings it on mother tongue and not on english, which MAY be a drawback, but it’s very clear that no matter what people send on eurovision it’s always about lobbying groups and it’s rare to see someone vote outside of it, which is why singing on native language will be another plus to gather all votes of the balkans, diaspora, and some extra votes from eastern europe. so called… Read more »

TURKEY the WINNER…
ROMANIA FOR THE WIN!!!
Songs singers this year were all very good. The Albanian singer had a really good vocal and even though i did not understand the language, i could feel what she was saying and that’s the language of music. Amazing interpretation, vocal and appearance. I teach music at University of Milan and of course i am a fan of Italy, but Albania really impressed me.
I think besides Sweden as topfavourite I see also Norway, Serbia, Cyprus and and Romania ending in the top ten. Besides i hope Russia will NOT win or end up high in the list saturday. Then as strong outsider i want to name Albania’s act Suus which to me was the most impressive act last tuesday, I saw and felt all the emotions which is for an act in a language I do not understand, very impressive! Also watch Greece, Italy, UK and France, they can also make a suprise saturday. MY REVIEWS: The groovy sound from Nina Zilli from… Read more »

There are so many great songs this year. I hope The Netherlands goes to the final. This year this tiny country deserves it. The Nederlands won’t win the contest for sure. But if Joan goes to the finals it’s the first time for The Netherlands since 2005. And this time we have a good song and singer.
Greetings from the Netherlands
