Attention Europe: Jedward are not gay or asexual. That might as well be the subhead of a recent Irish Mirror article which details the boys’ “needs” as they move from gig to gig in Australia, Canada, Japan and beyond.
The 21-year-old twins beat down any speculation that they prefer to bed down with other guys in a rather provocative interview. Speaking to the tabloid from his tour bus, Edward reportedly pointed to his crotch and explained that he and John “have needs.”
“We don’t have permanent girlfriends but we have lots of cool girls that we talk to and text all the time,” he said.
John added that they don’t struggle finding ladies to party with. “We’re nice guys,” he said. “We’re cool around all girls. I think girls like us because we’re just ourselves.”
They may be brining their charm to Africa in the years ahead. “We’d love to go and do an African tour and see Africa,” Edward said. “We’d love to go on a safari and everything….It’s so cool because over in Ireland you’re not allowed to have lions and animals so it would be cool to have animals in the show.”
If the women of Africa are lucky, Jedward just might unleash the beast inside of them.
